I signed up for something for Circut City. I forgot when/how to check it tho.

Wonder if anyone from DIS is going to "win". I have been signing up for the Circuit City one too...from the looks of the contest rules, they will e-mail you if you win one.

I just called the Walmart by my office and they are saying next week they will get some more. GRRR!!

My sister and mom happened to be at WalMart this morning buying something else in electronics and she just asked about the Wii.... the guy whispered to her "They are bringing them out right now. You are #2 and 3 in line if you want them." So - they got two this morning! (About 30 minutes ago) I am so excited! I had basically written it off and was going to wait until Easter. (yes, big gift for Easter, I know!)

So - call your local WalMart or stop over there. They might have them.

Even luckier since Grandma said she would buy both systems and give one to my family as our Christmas gift and one to my sister for her family's Christmas gift!

Give it a couple months, and the stores will be flooded with them. Doesn't help for CHristmas, but patience is a virtue, right?

The clerk said "one per person" - so he let my sister get one and my mom get one. They wanted a third system (for my brother and his wife), but they needed another "body" for that. So - they each paid separately - but mom paid my sister back. Just good timing I guess... why they both happened to go shopping together this morning is beyond me!

my local EB Games has been getting shipments every week and they are no longer on their pre-sale list so its first come first serve. I'm still saving up the $$ so we're waiting til after christmas

Anyone doing the trackers online when they are supposedly available on different sites? They are right now showing Kmart to have them, but when I go there I can find NOTHING...that is getting irratating too.

CONGRATS to you...FINALLY someone who "won" one...I was thinking the same thing about the people who don't buy theirs...I have wondered if getting up after the time is up, or if it will be tomorrow?

I wish that someone who didn't want theres would just buy it and sell it to me

My Wal-Mart got at least 5 in this afternoon. I called this morning and was told the shipment for today, if any, wouldn't be in until this afternoon and to call back at 1:00p.m. I called at 12:40 and they said they had "4 left". I loaded up 4 kids (I babysit) and we cruised to Wal-Mart. I got one and they were impressed by how fast I got in there after I called!

Oh I completely agree with you on that...if you could find an honest person...and that is the HARD part!

I got lucky on Amazon & was able to buy the Wii. I'm so happy because my DS really wants this & doesn't know it's coming. Last week I told him we'd get one for his birthday in Jan. He's been through a lot & this is really going to thrill him. Can't wait to see his face on Christmas!

Kmart was expecting deliveries today. They were saying that they will do something like they did for Elmo, but I couldn't get anyone to tell me what that was.

We've given up.

Next question: does anyone need a remote (preferable in the DC area?) I tried to see if ebgames would give me store credit for one, but they said no. Anyone know if wal-mart will exchange for credit? I don't feel like shipping back to Amazon.

Our EB Games said that they are still getting more in this week and no more big sales, so no hold on them. When they come in they go out. We got 1 on Sunday but my cousin is still looking for one At least her kids know the "Santa" gig and do understand how hard they are to come by right now. Keep checking back, unfortunately it is all about timing. 2 weeks ago I was #4 and they only got 3 and then Sunday it was my lucky day.

Don't return your extras until after Christmas...if you end up getting the Wii you'll be kicking yourself again because the extra controls, etc. are just as hard to come by. I have to keep checking in for a 2nd controller but not stressing over it like I was the console.

My son's friend was in Kmart yesterday afternoon when they made an announcement in the store. They had just received some Wii's - only a few but at least they're still being shipped. Good luck everyone.

I was talking with a friend today who was shopping at the Burlington, NJ Walmart this past week. She was in the electronics department and someone asked a salesperson if they had any. The salesperson pulled one out from behind the counter and off the (extremely excited) shopper went. They did say that there were not putting them out on the shelf or even making it known that they had them; you had to ask for one. I have no idea what day she was there, how many there were, or if there are still any left. But, perhaps there is hope for those of you out there still searching! Best of luck to you all!!
