Any West Coast DVC members?

We live in Elk Grove (10 min south of Sac). We bought in Dec 2000 and have yet to "go home" but have used our points extensively down at Disneyland. Not a great value, but since the airfare is much cheaper and it's easier to plan a quick getaway down to LA.... We usually go to DL about once a year. I grew up in the Bay Area (Redwood City) and my family used to make an annual trek to DL too.

This last trip, we spent 5 days just lounging around between the 2 parks, and I must say, I think we're going to start saving up for the big trips to Florida instead. There's just more to see and do at WDW.

Hey Bubbasmom, we used to live in Elk Grove. I believe I "know" you from the parentsplace board.

Hi Carrie! It's a small world, after all... (LOL!)

Hello....we are from Seattle too......when we were purchasing a couple of months ago, i wondered if any other Northwesterners were DVCers.....many of our friends think we are nuts! WE like DL(are actually gong for Spring Break), but DW is far superior.....we have been averaging about once every 16 months or so.......

Happy Holidays!

We are from the Seattle area also. Work in Bellevue and live in Monroe. Been members since 97, have been to DL 3 times in 10 years and to WDW 11 times in that time, just more things to do and so far away from home.

San Francisco/Daly City checking in...

We use our DVC points for big trips to WDW & PriceLine for hotels down by DL ($45/night when we go - every couple of months).

We bought DVC in 1999 & have been 'home' 4 times since then and have a big family reunion scheduled for November 2003. We've only used our DVC points once for DL, since they were going to expire anyway.

Don't worry you aren't crazy for buying a timeshare in Florida, or if you are, you're in good company :jester:

We live in Trabuco Canyon, California, about 20 miles south of Disneyland Resort. We go to Disneyland about every two weeks. We own at WLV. Personally I like Disneyland better than WDW as far a theme park experience goes. However, WDW cannot be beat as far as getting away to a resort. When we go to WDW we often don't even go to the parks. Instead we enjoy the water activities and just hanging around.
