Any WDW restaurants you won't return to?

We ignored the negative comments about Nine Dragons and went there recently. Oh my, the meal was not very good and the service was mediocre. I don't know why, but I expected much better.

I didn't have great expectations for any of the places we ate, we picked more for the hype than that menu and they didn't dissappoint. The only place we didn't plan was ABC Commissary and it was awful!

I have several my family won't be revisiting for a while: Rose and Crown (last 2 visits have been awful all the way around), Le Cellier (sorry, count me out of those that love this place), Crystal Palace breakfast (bad experience Christmas morning plus increased holiday price really, really turned me off), and Yak & Yetti (nothing special for high prices). Additionally, I was less than impressed with Ohana during our visit last week; but the kids still enjoyed it enough for us to return.

Boma is the one restaurant that stands out above the rest. We have tried it twice and hated it both times. Awful awful food!
Raglan Road - the service was awful and the singing would have made a banshee wail even louder.
Akershus - used to be my favorite restaurant but when we went in August 2006 we couldnt believe what a chaotic mess this once great restaurant had become. I'll go back if they get rid of the Princesses for one meal, but that wont happen.

Wow, amazing how many responces in so little time. Everyone wants to chime in their least favorites!

First thing, We go and return to Disney for the food and the service. My boyfriend and I are a "foodies" and work in the industry. We like interesting flavors and preparations. We are not your typical American eaters.

With that said, I need to add mine. We went in October 06 on the dining plan and we tried some new places but they were duds.

Chefs de France: God this place was horrible. No flavor cold food, the worst service and the restaurant was a mess. I was shocked. We may try Bistro again if it gets back on the dining plan, but we will steer clear of this one, tyvm!

Capt n Jacks: Why you all are so keen on the lobster tail it is beyond me! :) It was so over cooked and rubbery. Salad was mediocre at best. Service was sincere, but the food negated any thoughts of returning.

Regards,

-Erica, counting down 3 weeks to the DELUX dining plan!

For us it would be 50 PTC. Food very boring and not that good. Would stop in for one of their shakes though.

Oh my!

After reading this post, it looks like it will be 7 days of Figaro Fries and Dole Whips!

Not that that's a bad thing...

I try to avoid a few, mostly fast-food's and a few buffet's other then that I will watch what I order.

One that we avoided for years and did try again and enjoyed was The Sci-Fi Dine-in.

Another that we avoided for years, but will be trying in September again is Liberty Tree Tavern. This was always one of our favorites, 1 strike out, 2 strike outs cross it of our list. It's now been about 5 years since our last trip here we will be returning, hopefully this restaurant will not be removed permanently. 3 strikes and your out forever.

There are only a few forevers

ABC Commissary
Hollywood and Vine
Biergarten (awful food, good show)
Liberty Inn-Epcot

There are some that we just avoid altogether because of the menu.

:) :)

Don't worry - I did add my least favorites earlier, but have enjoyed seeing everyone's list. And most of my favorites and must-do's are on that list!!!!

So take it with a grain of salt and know that you can eat more than Dole Whips - well, if you really want to . . .

I'm not a picky eater, but the only place I probably won't return to is Flame Tree BBQ. My son's ribs and my chicken were both DRY. I always eat at Pizzafari when in Animal Kingdom. I LOVE their Italian deli sandwich. :)

For table service, I'd say Rose and Crown had the least inspiring menu (the British aren't known for their fine cuisine!), but the service was good and being able to see IllumiNations from there was great.

As far as buffets - some were quite good: Boma dinner, Fresh breakfast (at the Dolphin), Crystal Palace (especially breakfast), 1900 Park Fair (breakfast and dinner), Akershus for lunch (in the pre-princess days), Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast (also years ago). Other buffets were kind of so-so: Cape May dinner, Biergarten dinner, Chef Mickey's dinner, Hollywood and Vine dinner.

Yukky-tory, uh, sorry Yakatori. I'm mega non-picky for lunch (a pb&j works for me) just looking for something that'll keep the belly from growling and give me enough energy to keep up with dh.

I didn't think you could mess up teriyaki chicken and rice, but I guess I was wrong. Where do they get that chicken? They'd be better off buying the frozen stuff at Costco!

Other than that, we've had enjoyable meals at DW so far.
