any way to opt out of photos?

i was wondering if there was a way to opt out of the marathon photos? ive already run two run disney events in the last few months and i have no interest in buying these photos yet they pretty much email you all the time after the race for months.. i was wondering if there was a way to opt out of getting your photo taken or those emails.. thanks!

No way to opt out in advance. They use your email supplied during race registration. You can unsubscribe from their email list once you get one.

what if i put my bib on my back will that help?

You will still get the email saying your photos are ready. Even though you will not have any candid photos you will have a series of finish line photos triggered by the chip. Also, you are a little more likely to have mat read issues with the bib in back.

I had also thought of folding one the bib so one number is missing and wearing a shirt over the bib (if cooler) but one will still be in the system.

The best bet is to click on the unsubscribe button for the January race notice that came out in the last couple days. I must be one of the January races as they carry a separate mailing list for each individual race (TOT and 5k, W&D and 5k, etc). You should stop receiving the emails for that race, only.

You may want to stop by their booth at the Expo and request to be removed from any communications in advance, too. Can't hurt to ask!
