Any Verizon iPhone deals

Daughter needs a new iPhone. She’d like at least the 8. We are current Verizon customers. The only deals I can find are for new lines. Anyone know of any going on?

The Apple Store may give you double the money for trading in your iPhone compared to what Verizon will give. It's worth at least asking. And it now costs more to go into a Verizon store to get a new phone in person vs. doing all this online. Check first to see if you can save more by going to the Apple Store instead of Verizon.

Call! I had a loyalty promo on DH and my accounts. We upgraded to the 8 for $15 a month each.

If you live near an Apple store go there to buy the phone. If Verizon is offering any deals you can still get those deals at the Apple store. The only deals I’ve seen recently with them is if you add a line you get a buy one get one free but I think that ended and it was for the XR. You can always call and say you’re thinking of switching carriers for a better phone deal and ask if they have any deals going on to make you stay with Verizon. They’ll probably pass you on to the retention department who might offer you a deal. Good luck!

Yes I would leave Verizon if you are looking for better deals. You should be able to get service for $30 to $40 a line. Verizon often charges double that.

On the flip side, make sure that you have cel coverage from the others in your area. Sprint has a non existent signal and we are in a community of nearly 40,000. Our son has been going through Best Buy for Iphone upgrades with Verizon. May be another place to look.

Thanks everyone for the replies! We are on a family plan with my brother being the lead so she doesn’t really have an option to switch carriers (Verizon works really well in our area so I’m not sure we’d switch). I did ask him to call Verizon to see if they could offer an upgrade.
In the meantime, I’ll still be watching for any deals.

You can upgrade at target when they are running a deal to get a target gift card on the XR and XS. I’ve seen $100 or $150 at various times. I think this week is $100. You have to have part of the cost rolled into your Verizon bill but you can prepay a large portion of it with the red card to save the 5% as well. This is what both my husband and I did to get XR phones. We did it at separate times once getting $100 and once getting $150 gift cards. Both times we paid around $550 of the cost (minus the 5%) and rolled the rest into our monthly bill (I think it is about $10 per month).

We always wait to upgrade our phones or change carriers when we see the commercials. Several months ago we switched from Sprint to Verizon (back to Verizon). My husband & I both got iPhone XR & daughter got one of our old phones (8) & we kept the other iPhone 8 for home phone. On Verizon.com they’re offering the iPhone 8 for $24.99/month for 24 months with 0 APR. the new commercial out I just saw is getting up to $650 toward latest iPhone with select trade in.

I got this text from Verizon yesterday:

I have no idea if this is a good deal or not, because I have not been paying attention to new cellphone prices, as I am not even considering an upgrade at this time (my Iphone 6 is about 4 years old and I'm still happy with it, so why bother).
