I'm not OP, but he might be referring to the DVC resort that is being built in Hawaii. They broke ground a few months ago and are starting construction. The resort will be located in Ko'Olina. That is all the info I know so far. I'll see if I can find a link to more info. He may be referring to something else though.

All I know is that the plans call for the resort to be part DVC and part hotel.

I've seen artist's rendering of the plans, and it looks like it'll be spectacular when finished. I can't remember if they've broken ground though.

They would definitely know all about it and the lastest news/progress over on the DVC boards.

Hello, Oahu here, Ko'olina is mins away from my house about 15-20 to be exact. There has been NOTHING said, or disscussed in this neck of the woods. I know it's a more luxury hotel simular to that of turtle bay. I don't believe you're gonna find it to be really disney as some of the DVC at the parks, but more disney adventures type. Tourisim has dropped by a substantial mark here due to the airlines who did allow for better rates went down, and economy/spending here is way down based on our local news. If anything is gonna be offered to make it more disney it might be the pool. Other than that the resort sits directly within steps of the beach.

I dont think it would be disney themed at all. Just merely a place for us to spend our DVC points away from disney and still have a great place to vacation. I am really excited about it actually and the pictures look amazing. We'll see when she's finished though!

I'm pretty sure I've read that there will be characters onsite. And of course it will be well-themed, family friendly and the service will hopefully be at a Disney level.
