Any type of discounts for Christmas at this time ??

I just found out that we have the opportunity to go to WDW for New Years and I am going to book a room just so we have a ressie, but was wondering if anyone got this time frame with a Disney Club or AAA discount. I know it's very early and they may not discount rooms this year, but theres always hope.

The last day for DC or AAA discounts is 12/19. It's my understanding that as long as you arrive on or before that date, you can get the discount for your entire stay. However, DC/AAA discounted rooms are limited.

I don't remember there ever being discounts for the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. IIRC, there weren't even any discounts for this period last year, although I believe there were special discount codes (or maybe they were AP discounts) for arrivals through 12/25. I'm quite sure even that was an exception to past discount norms.

Maybe this year will be different. It always pays to keep an eye on these boards. Good luck!

Where were you planning on staying?

If you fancy the Dolphin, I got half price Lake view room with the 'Entertainment' privilige on my Disney Club Card for Dec 26 - Jan 1. I booked this in Jan, but it may be worth ringing to see if there is still availability at this rate.

Regarding Christmas/New Years week discounts - I was able to get a 15% off discount at the Wilderness Lodge in 1995 and then only a 10% off discount at the Contemporary in 1996 and since then - nothing at all during the Christmas/ New Years week

No discounts on Disney rooms with anything at all that week - that I know of at least. I would guess that they have very little trouble filling their rooms then - and I can see why. It is a wonderful - although more expensive and crowded - time to visit WDW

Pretty much sums it up! LOL

This past year (NY 01/02) I was able to get a 15% discount (about 2 weeks before we left) off my stay at the Contemporary's Tower Club Level.
