Any trouble booking BCV 3-6 months out?

What have you found through experience with booking into BCV 3-6 months out? I haven't decided if my son will be able to come with us, or for how long sometime during the last two weeks of August. I'll know more in a month or so. Do you think I'll have a problem booking a 1 bedroom if I wait until April to book? He will want to stay there, and we'll need a 1 br if he comes with us. If not, a studio would be fine. If not, I'll book at the BWV or VWL.

Of course there is really no way to guess on this, but the law of averages is that you will probably not have problems 6 months out or even maybe 5, but after that you will probably have to wait list. This is a very popular resort and not very large.

BWV and VWL might be just as hard.

We've been successful getting BCV reservations with as little as 3 days notice, and we've failed with as much as 6 months notice. It just depends. Good luck!!

We tried booking at 7 months out for a week in April and could not get it. I think time of year is important. Is late August a busy time? We have never traveled then.

we tried for may 4 months ahead and couldn't get it...on the wait list, but got the end of january with just a few weeks' notice. i guess you never know until you try!

Can you book this, and then change it when you know for sure. It seems to be harder to get the villa you want at the BCV than most other places lately.

After being in WDW in December during the "cold spell" we felt we were gipped and decided to sqeeze a long weekend in May at the BCV. We got a studio for May 5-9 with no problem. Good luck!

I booked BCV last week for June. I went in and changed the dates in June 4 days later, and they still had no problem taking our reservation. Maybe we are not going on a busy week. Good luck to you that you get what works best for you.

Thanks, that's encouraging! I'm going the 1st week of June and have Yacht Club booked. Since I won't be able to book until my contract(s) closes, it's good to hear that others have been successful at booking with less than 3 months!

well i booked the BCV this tues for tomorrow.....fri the 21...........we'll be staying the weekend to golf..........but i have gotten blocke out of BCV 6 monthst out especially if it is in a peak time...........OKW is the ususaly default..............

Hmmm....we tried to get either 2 studios or one 2-bedroom on Nov 11th, for April 17-22 at either BCV or BWV. Nothing was available (5 months out). We are on the waitlist..but, still nothing. I guess it depends on when you go.

This is the same week we tried for! 4/17 to 4/23! We tried at 7 months for a studio, there was nothing at BCV and only a few of our days at BWV. We ended up at VWL.

Beca, we're on the same waitlist. We have Std view BWV for the 17th-23rd already (reserved at 11 months), but DW wants to try SAB so we've been waitlisted for the 17th-21st for a BCV 2BR since about the 6 month mark. We've got the 21st-23rd covered in a parallel ressie at BCV, but are hoping our other nights will pop up soon (we've got individual nights waitlisted, along with the whole length, since we have the spare points to cover it right now); if not we'll just cancel the parallel ressie and stick with our beloved BWVs.

We opted not to waitlist and just booked VWL. I am a need to know person, and not a very patient one at that!

I actually just finished booking a 1-bedroom villa at BCV for almost 11-nights and was told to start calling 7-months beforehand and to call for each day separately. You just have to inform them what you are doing so they link all the days as one reservation. They said this was the best way since BCV is very popular and has the least number of rooms.
I hope things work out for you getting a room.

We tried for BCV May 1-7th and there was nothing available. I even tried the following week for the same studio. We ended up getting a room at BWV which is okay but I still want to try BCV sometime!
