Any Trick to Snagging a 1 Night Reservation (within 60 days) ?

Long story short, may need an extra room for someone who wants to join us for a single night at one of the Boardwalk resorts for a trip that starts in 60 days. Online, every single Boardwalk resort (even Swan / Dolphin) are booked for that time ... but strangely, there's availability at the monorail loops (which have been booked solid during the span of our trip for months).

Besides just checking the system every day, are there any tricks to snagging a reservation on short notice ? Is it worth it to call the number as well, or do they use the same system we all use ?

Try playing with your dates. We decided that we wanted to go Oct 7-9, and I couldn't find a room for just those nights but searched other dates and I found one Oct 5-9. I had to call in but they were able to override the minimum stay requirement and drop the first two nights we didn't need.

It's probably Disney's new software that is trying to prevent abandoned rooms that is causing the issue. You may have better luck picking up the phone and calling to see if someone can override the system to allow the one night reservation. Also, I would look at external travel sites to see if you can pick up the night there. Your best bet is to check at the 30 day mark, because someone might cancel a trip and availability may open up. This is the hardest time of year to try and book rooms at Epcot area resorts because of the F&W festival.

Good advice above. External sites like cheaptickets, priceline, otel.com and others sometimes have rooms available that you can't find by booking direct.

Actually the date I am looking for is after F&W, which is why I was a little surprised at everything being booked up.

It is NOT just Food & Wine. DVC's busiest time of year is from September Through Marathon in January

I can second playing with your dates. I've been looking for a room for 12/1-4 but can't find anything. I was looking at doing either the first two or the last two of my dates and found a one night at AoA in a Mermaid room. Which also works since the last two days are going to be my MK and AK days so the 60 day FP window really works better for me.

Yes, CALL! Guest Services can override minimum stay requirements that keep room availability from coming up if input dates are a short range.
