Any tips for taking a GoPro on rides?

So I got a GoPro during the pandemic for better character selfies than my smartphone but I figure I might as well learn how to use it to take video on rides too.
Does anyone have tips on how to mount it in away that's OK by Disney policy, especially for rides like the Incredicoaster? I don't want to be the person who ruins the sound experience on the ride by getting a CM on the loudspeaker telling them to put their phone away.

We just used our GoPro at Disneyland and my husband mounted it to his wrist with the wrist strap. He used it for the Incredicoaster. CMs didn't tell him anything.

has anyone recently had luck wearing a chest mount on more intense rides like Expedition Everest or Guardians?

I’m thinking of using mine on my upcoming trip but I’m not sure how strict they’ve gotten lately. I’d rather not risk bringing it and be told I can’t use it. Anyone been recently and can share how it went?

This is a very old thread. It is also in the Disneyland forum. You might want ask it in one of the WDW forums.
