Any tips for celebrating turning 40?

My family and I staying at BLT in Nov. I turn 40 the week prior to us arriving and my wife turned 40 earlier this year. Any tips for celebrating while at WDW resort.
When I made our dining reservations I indicated that we were celebrating our 40th birthdays. Can we really expect anything to be different than the normal dining experience?

I celebrated my 40th this past may while staying at AKV.
Housekeeping left me a cute towel birthday "cake" and I received a photo card from Mickey Mouse with a special Photo Pass card with a code for a discount on Photo Pass purchases.

Other than that, it was just another day at Disney.

Here's a tip: get a t-shirt that says "I'm turning 29 today!"

One of our favorite birthday trip activities is to take a Segway Tour. It's such a fun thing to do and there are so few places you can do it. Both the Epcot and Fort Wilderness tours are a blast.

Spent my 40th there in November 2006 (the 7th) and it was great. The cast members did all sorts of nice things...and it wasn't even the celebration thing. I made certain that we spent the day in my favorite park...MK....and stayed for the fireworks, even though it rained. I booked myself to do the Surfing School...which I believe is gone now....because surfing was something I always wanted to learn to do. And, my husband and I made certain we had 1 night out to have a great meal...Flying Fish.

We were there for our sons' birthdays in March, and they had an equally good time. CM's saw their buttons and made all sorts of nice little Disney Moments. We ordered a Mickey Cake when we ate at Boma, and it was worth the money.

Just make certain you wear your button all week, tell the CM at check-in, and treat yourself with something you just wouldn't normally do there!!!

I will be turning 40 a couple of weeks before our next trip and I plan on doing a little celebrating at WDW too. I am hoping it will take the sting out of turning the big 4-0. I will also be celebrating getting my Masters.

I did breakfast with Cinderella in the castle for my 40th birthday and loved it. Back then, they had all the "kids" stand up and had their names and ages read out loud to everyone in the restaurant. All the other kids' ages didn't add up to my 40 years!

I also spent my 50th birthday at WDW (and many, many others.) Treatment is pretty much the same no matter which birthday year it is.

When I turned 50, I got one that said "spending my kids college tuition"

I am going to Disneyland for my 40th, at the beginning of next year. We have reserved three 2 bedrooms and one grand villa at the VGC. We will be inviting between 50-70 people to go to Disneyland with us. So we can pt up most of our guests for the night. And then after the day in the park we will be having dinner and dancing.
