Hi, we have just booked All Stars Music for the last week of Nov, but am unsure if any of the All Stars or Pop is the better resort? We haven't stayed in any of the disney resorts before, and as it isn't our main holiday and will only be for a week didn't really want to spend too much on upgrading.

Any thoughts from anyone who has stayed in one of these resorts - which is your fave?

Thanks in advance!

We have only stayed at All Stars Music and really liked it, its quite a small resort, buses were fine as at peak times they had separate buses for all the all stars resorts, we ate at the food court a lot and it was also good. The pool also had activities, music and a movie played at night time. We are trying Pop in April as I want to try a different resort and like you it is not our main holiday so don't want to spend to much. I would recommend all stars music though:thumbsup2

oh they had a MASSIVE beach ball in the pool everyday at 3pm, it was a big hit with my sister. They also had basket ball hoop, bingo etc and a music dj box and CM would get in the pool and dance - it was abit like a pool party. We had a walk around movies and sports and they didn't have a music box, don't know about Pop.

Big :thumbsup2 for POP, we stayed there in May & loved it:love: . I could nt fault any part of our stay, room was lovely & clean. Good enough size for 2 people, staff were fantastic at check in, food court although manic had great selection of food. Frozen coke slushies were lovely too, think you can only get these from POP too. The grounds are so much fun, great to just walk a round & check everything out. We stayed in a room opposite the lake & it was lovely & peaceful. Got to see Illuminations most nights from the balcony outside our room. I cant praise POP enough:) .

We re getting married in WDW in May & have booked to stay at the Poly & POFQ over 21 days (much to my df's dissapointment as i think he wants to go back to POP:rolleyes: ). In all honesty if we had of booked our wedding accomodation after we stayed at POP in Oct, i think we d of booked to stay in Poly & then transfer over to POP. If the value resorts are this good then i cant wait to see what Poly & POFQ is like:cutie:

Thanks guys, I wasn't expecting so much from the value resorts, but I am really pleased 2 hear good reviews! There is only 2 of us so the space should be fine, and hopefully have more money 2 spend on meals etc! Think we may stick with music then - which parks is this closest too?

It closest to Animal Kingdom so the bus journy to DTD can feel a bit long. :) The other parks didn't seem to long on the bus though.

It is 8 years ago so might have improved but we stayed at Allstars Movies, didn't like it at all, apart from some overgrown figures(don't have to to stay there to see them) there was nothing to attract us there. The rooms could have been any travelodge or holiday Inn. There was nothing in the room to say you were in Disney, soooo basic.
I know many people like the All star resorts but they are not for everyone.
Staying at OKW this year so will see what thats like.

Only stayed at Pop, so can't comment on All Stars, but we loved Pop and the bonuses that go with staying onsite. Pools were empty during the daytime and open until at least 1am, so we didn't miss out on the pool or the parks. We didn't have a problem with space (2adults and 2 chldren), so you should be fine

Ive stayed at ASMU and Pop and I much preferred Pop, there was nothing wrong with the All Stars, they are great resorts. I preferred Pop tho bcos it is more central and so is nearer to the parks. Also, at the All stars quite often you share buses which mean they are packed and you then have to drop off at Sports and Music before youre stop, at Pop its just the one stop.

the all stars were built in phases
Sport 1st Music 2nd Movies 3rd.each one inproving a little on the next
Ok there will have been referbs and i have stayed in all of them.but have found the movies the best of the all stars and pop the best of the values due to being constructed the lastest
But as time go`s on referbs will bring them all in line
Paulh

The buses go - Sports- Music - Movies so always one stop however the bus only stopped at Movies during the quiet times of the day. In the morning when it was busy it did not stop at Movies . Music has also recently had a refurb.

I think Music is possible the least disney of the value resort as there is no big icons like at Movies or Pop which is the main reason we are doing Pop this year as my DD wants big icons.:)

Really liked Pop when we stayed there last May and are hopefully going back this May. Never stayed at All Stars.

Stayed in DVC Boardwalk and Saratoga Springs last October and found myself saying "In Pop ... ... ..."

Not sure if we love it because it was our first WDW stay but am going back with no hesitations.

Pop for us too. We really enjoyed our stay in 2007 and we're going back for 2 nights in March. We loved the food court - one of the best CS on property if you ask me and the buildings and themes were fun and we really loved they way the resort is built around Hourglass lake - even if the resort is busy, lakeside is always peaceful. I've never stayed at the All Stars, but I have a friend who's been to ASSp 6+ times and would never stay anywhere else :upsidedow

stayed at all three all stars and pop and we prefer pop. all stars in used alot of the time for the events such as the cheerleading etc and can be very bust but we had no problems at pop and the buses are great at pop.

Both very similar though to be honest and i dont think you can go wrong.

We had one complaint at all stars - the maid left our room open all day!!! we had cameras and everything in there I was not impressed

I've stayed at POP and the All Stars (Music and Movies) and much prefer POP. You'll still have a great time at the resort though!

we've booked Pop for the first time for Sept this year, normally we stay at the Deluxe, but we're going for Pop.

We like the fact it has its own seperate bus, it seems to have the best dining, shopping facilities for the values, and I like the themeing.

Thanks guys! We were thinking of paying the extra for the moderates but after so many of you had so many good comments we will stay with one of the values! I think we may stay with music, but I may look at swapping to Pop :cool1: What are the pools like in the different resorts?
The lady I spoke too was really good, she swapped my holiday from OKW in Aug to AS Music in Nov for free as we had a change of plans for our summer holiday, and she said she would swap it to pop for free if we wanted!

We stayed in Movies, and Pop,and much prefer Pop so much so we booked again this year staying there also.
Pop is a lovely hotel, pools are great..clean we used the hippy dippy pool most but they have 3 pools in total...Kids really enjoyed their stay.
Hope you manage to decide where to stay you cant go wrong with pop in my opinion.
