We've done Cape May several times, and enjoyed it a lot.
It's a little less hectic than Chef Mickey's, IMO, because the characters only table-hop, there's no parade or napkin waving
The offered foodstuffs are about the same, maybe a bit better. Personally, I think the decor is nicer, too.
If you're going
without kids, and you want to interact with the characters,
DO NOT let them stick you with seating against the back wall - I think that's their 'Grumpy Corner' (all diners in that area had no children with them).
We waited an extra 20+ minutes last time, rather than be seated there again.
The only acknowledgement we got there was a quick wave from Goofy - the others passed right by as if our section of the restaurant didn't exist
