I always enter contests / sweepstakes when the prize inclues a trip to WDW. But I am wondering -- while I know people do win these prizes, has anyone here ever won one? If so, tell me about it.

I won a trip to California but not to Disney..
For the value of the trip I could've easily used it for 2 trips to Disney...
Airfare to LA was phenomenal(sp?)

I keep entering contests/sweepstakes for trips to WDW, but haven't won a trip yet.

I did win 4 round-trip airfare vouchers last month, thru my local radio station!:cool1: Will be using the vouchers to go to WDW/ UO this yr!
The win definitely was a blessing, as money is really tight right now for my family and I.

I won an all expense paid trip for 4 to Disney from a NYC radio station. It included everything - even all our food. The only thing I had to pay for was a trip to my local airport and the trip from the airport back to my house when we came back.

I've won a few things. Back when my twins were little and starting elementary school and I stayed home with them, it gave me a hobby.
I've won:
Gameboy with games (this was from yoplait I think)
Tv with built in VCR (From Sears Portrait Studio)
North Face Winter Jacket, light jacket, & t-shirt (from Molson's)
Britney Spears Tickets (from Market Basket, I sold them for face value, I couldn't go)
A jam/jelly basket with a teddy bear (from Smuckers & ABC Family)

The funniest thing I've ever won was a case of Clamato...I don't even remember entering for anything like that?

The best prize I ever got was from Dunkin' Donuts! I got to go to the New England Patriots training camp, have lunch with one of the coaches and then we got special seating to watch them train. Hee hee, I got a great pic of Tom Brady's butt.

Although I've never won a trip to WDW (I'm trying!), I've won a lot. I spend a few hours a day entering sweepstakes, though. It's a hobby I take rather seriously. In 2007, I won nearly $1500 worth of stuff. 2006 was a much better year at well over $3000. :)

I have won tons of little things : DVDs, tickets, CDs, software, toys....trampoline (I sold it). Won Ellen's 12 Days of Christmas two years in a row : last year in my name I won a Tempurpedic bed, Melitta Coffee Maker with wireless weather station and Uggs - and then this year in my DH's name won IPod Touch and docking station, Wii and two games, Seinfeld LE DVD set, Harry Potter Limited Edition DVD set and electric toothbrush. My DH (along with a group of c0-workers) won The NYS Lottery a few years back. ETA: I have won BINGO twice on cruises - last time it was $600...and a Movado watch once on a cruise.

I enter Disney trip sweeps but have never won - have come in runner up with small prizes only.

Jessica, where do you get the sweeps entry? Do you enter on line?

It sounds like a great hobby.

Thanks for sharing :thumbsup2

I won a day trip to the Magic Kingdom when they brought the Main Street Electrical Parade back from California. I could take 3 people with me, so I took my dad, brother and nephew. We got free popcorn and soda and we got to see the parade before it opened to the public the next day. The coolest thing was that Judge Reinhold, LeVar Burton and Carrie Fisher were in the parade.

I won a gift certificate for the grocery store from Coca-Cola. :cool1:

I've won a few small things. The largest winning was a skateboard deck autographed by Tony Hawk.

I just barely started playing sweepstakes and the most I've won so far is a $50 gift card. I've been entering WDW sweepstakes almost daily for a month now. Still no luck. :confused3

When I started this thread, I was wondering about people wining prizes of TRIPS TO WDW. If anyone has actually won a trip to Disney, I'd love to hear about it. Did you get any special treatment? Did you have to pay a lot out of pocket? Did you have any say in your accomodations, transportation, or meals?

Once, I won a 10-speed. It was a man's 10-speed. I was a 7 year old girl. I ended up giving it to my dad and never rode it. Sigh.

i had a friend in college who won trip for 4 to disneyland-it included air fare, accommodations at the disneyland hotel, park entry and cash (to cover the cost of food and some sovineers). no special perks or treatment (probably because it was'nt sponsored by the disney company). the only downside was he did'nt realize the tax implications so he ended up paying the irs a chunk of change the following year (and he was realy surpised at the figure the company he won it from put on the value of the prize(s)-said it was much greater than what he could have booked an identical trip for.

not a disney trip, but, my hairdresser was on the receiving end of a sweepstakes-sort of. one day one of her long standing, elderly clients surprised her by taking her to the local cadillac dealerships and purchasing her a brand new car with all the bells and whistles. come to find out the man had one a major multi million dollar sweepstakes a few years earlier and had decided he wanted to do random acts of kindness (her car was on it's last legs and she was working hard to replace it):thumbsup2

My pastor won $10,000 in an American Express sweepstakes several years ago.

He tried to keep it quiet, but once word got out he had to tell everyone about it so they wouldn't think he played the lottery. :lmao:
