Any suggestions on Performance shirts to help with sun.....

My son and I are going for Labor Day weekend. I am not nervous about heat because we are from South Louisiana so the heat and humidity are something we are use to.

However I am trying to get some suggestions on some of the performance shirts out there that are long sleeve for sun protection but still cool. My son has a few for fishing but looking for some others.

I wear Old Navy Active tee shirts. They are moisture wicking and come in both long & short sleeve.

My skin is highly sensitive to the sun and i have had many abnormal moles removed. As a result, i have an extensive wardrobe of sun protective clothing.

My absolute favorites are made by Solumbra (sunprecautions.com). Their clothes are pricey, but oh so light and comfortable! And they protect better than sunscreen.

Other great brands for sun protection are Coolibar (which I buy through Amazon), and Lands End. Look for UPF protection of 50 or more. Good luck!

Lands End has shirts with UPF 50.

We used them for snorkeling in the Caribbean and they worked well.

We used the fishing shirts in Cabo, and they worked great. I'd stick with them, there are several manufacturers that sell them now with all different designs.
