As anyone on this board actually done something with their disney stamps? What I mean is that I have these lovely stamps and first day covers and all they are doing is sitting in the wrapper they came in. It would be nice to hang them in their frame or something but how can I without damaging the stamps or postal covers. So what have you done to display your stamp covers? Thanks everyone.

I matted and framed mine. I only purchased one -- the "Friends" one. It sits on my bookshelves in my living room with a small "Partners" statue next to it. :goodvibes

excuse my ignorance what is excatly matting and how do you go about it. Thanks

Do you have an AC Moore or Michaels (arts and crafts store) near you?

They sell many frames...wait for a 50% sale.

Depending on the size of the stamps, there are easy frames with no border, just a back and glass that you can pop them in. Very fast and easy.

Or you can buy a frame and a colored mat (which is a cardboard with the size you need already cut out of the middle) and frame them yourself.

ok thanks we have a Michaels near us that I will go to, all I need to know is how to attach the stamps or 1st cover envelops to the mat. Thanks everyone.

They won't attach to the mat. Rather, the mat functions as a frame underneath the glass to showcase your stamps. You can talk to the folks back in the framing department at Micheals. Bring what you want to mat & frame and they can show you your options. They can cut the cardboard into windows for both the envelope as well as the page of stamps if you so desire.

My home office is turning into my hideway with my disney items. While I am working in my office I can look up and see my many items from Disney. It will be nice to get these stamps out of storage and up on the wall. So off to Michael I will go this week. Again thanks everyone.
