Any suggestions for Boys-day-out?

I'd send them to Downtown Disney together. They've got Disney Quest there, which is great fun for all ages, since they've got the old arcade games that we knew from our younger days. My DH isn't happy unless he sees a movie during our vacations, and if your DBF is the same, he'll be content to hit a show at the theaters there. You've got the Virgin Megastore for music, DVDs, etc., and plenty of other shops that they can poke around in, besides being able to grab lunch somewhere. If they skateboard, there's a Vans skatepark near the Belz Factory Outlet mall, but you'd need to have a rental car. My DS has to spend at least 3 or 4 hours there when we're in Orlando. If they like to golf, that's another option. There's also the Richard Petty Driving Experience, but I think that gets a bit expensive. :flower:

I would definitely recommend the SEGWAY Tour in EPCOT! It takes a couple hours in the morning and is excellent, especially for anyone interested in high tech gadgets. I know I would enjoy doing this tour with my sons.

how 'bout a fishing excursion? golf? tennis? drinks around the monorail? espn zone restaurant (if there's a game they are interested on tv)? bike riding or horseback riding at the campgrounds? dolphin experience? a day at universal doing thrill ride/coasters? surfing lessons at typhoon lagoon? or just a water park if you are not planning that as a group? poolside lounging?

whatever they decide, i'm sure it will be fun!

Here's another vote for a fishing trip. DS and I went 2 yrs. ago and 21 Bass in 2 hours.

How about renting some sort of boat, I think there are many different boats to rent.

Segway Tour or Richard Petty Driving Experience.

We've done both. Richard Petty is way more money but it was the best thing I ever did for my DH & SDS. They still haven't stopped raving about it 7 years later.......

Most definitely the Richard Petty Driving Experience. If you are an AP holder or a DVC member look into discounts. My DH & BIL's did it on a family trip a few years back and had an absolute ball...still talk about it now (4 years later - lol!).

Don't know what your budget it, but see you want somethig that will last the better part of the day, so how about fantasia mini golf, just get a bus to swan/dolphin and walk across the street, then go back to boardwalk for lunch at espn zone, and then use the swan/dolphin bus to go to dtd for either disney quest or a movie, hmm either place is good to get a nice rest and air conditioning break. That should take up till about 5 pm maybe. The fishing trip is expensive though. The later times are cheaper. They could just do cane pole fishing at old man river at por I think, have never done this though. The boats are fun, but dont last long. How about a water park.
