Are you getting the stamps today?

If you are should you get them stamped with the postmark?

Please do elaborate!

What stamps? What postmark?

Do I need to hie myself down to the local post office immediately?

I'm going to stop by tomorrow and get some for us!

Star Wars geek here! Can't believe it's been 30 years!

30 years today actually!!

Neither could I when I saw the display at the PO. Seems like yesterday doesn't it!

In LA this week they are having a Gencon convention. They showed all the movies back to back. 17 hours! LOL

I'm trying to talk DH into going tomorrow but he isn't the geek like I am.

It all depends on how you collect stamps if you get the postmark or not.
Some collectors will buy some of a stamp, or an entire sheet of stamps, and some will take a collectible stamp, put it on an envelope and have that stamped.
For most of the collectors, they probably get the entire sheet (which in this case you have to, no breaking it) to keep for their collection.
Hope that helps.
(got some to send myself)

Another Star Wars geek checking in, can't wait till Star Wars weekends start next week at MGM! I'll be there! :):chewy: :ewok: :yoda: :darth:

Thanks so much for clarifying that. I saw a lady getting the postmark and then I didn't know if I should do that or not. I'm not a big stamp collector but for Star Wars.....I'll start! LOL

Hey, anyone see that The History Channel will be doing a special on Star Wars Sunday?

Not sure how I'll celebrate. I just can't believe that my first crush happened thirty years ago! While most girls liked Han Solo, I dreamed of being the girl next door to Luke Skywalker on Tatooine. :lmao:

I'll be getting to the PO soon to get my sheet.

I'm even going to go full out geek and get the sheet matted and framed.

Yes, and tonight G4 is having a Star Wars 30th anniversary special from Celebration IV, from 9:00-11:00.

Can't wait, the prequels notwithstanding!

G4? Is that a satellite TV channel?

I'll be setting up the DVR to record the History Channel piece when I get home.

Nope, believe it or not, it's a channel that we've had on Time Warner here in southwest Ohio for several years now. It's basically tv for gamers, so I don't watch it all that much. But they do have a pretty cool show called Attack of the Show that focuses on entertainment media other than video games (and has featured Bill Hunt, the editor of The Digital Bits, my favorite DVD website).

Here's a link to G4's page: http://www.g4tv.com/

I want to get the stamps so much!!! :)

We just got a new kitten. Her name is Wicket because she is a cross between a short hair and a long hair and looks disheveled like an Ewok. :)
