Hey, anyone see that The History Channel will be doing a special on Star Wars Sunday?

Thank goodness for Tivo! We're going away for the holiday weekend, heading straight to the airport after work/school so I was able to schedule this on tivo.com.

I went back to the PO to have the date stamped and the clerk wouldn't do it! I finally talked him into putting the date on the sheet so you could see the date.

Yes, he is. They are a really great group of guys. They dress up and volunteer their time at children's hospitals and other events.

Sweetness. I admire the 501st, they do great things. I've read a lot about them and I would like to join someday, though I'm more a "good guy" type than a "bad guy" and I've heard that the 501st doesn't take many Jedi, LOL. But the Rebel-whatever-they-are who are Jedi costumers just don't have the reputation that the 501st does.

DH has done both. At one of the hospital events, one of the children asked if there were any "good guys" there, so DH went in to see him. That day, he was dressed as a Jedi.

So did anyone watch the Star Wars special on the History channel that CapeCodTenor told us about.

I watched about 15 min. of it and then a cranky baby woke up, so that was it for me. It was really interesting as far as I got.

Any comments?

DH and I went to Celebration IV yesterday at the LA Convention Center. We attended an interview with the 2 of the creators (Catherine Winder and Dave Filoni) of the new Clone Wars TV Series that is scheduled to come out sometime in 2008. There were only 3 showings of this particular interview scheduled for all of Celebration and DH and I attended the first showing at 10:30 AM. We were among the first 900 people to ever see a public screening of clips from the show. Now you can see it on starwars.com.

Am I the only one who was a little underwhelmed by the CGI Clone Wars trailer? I dunno, maybe it's just that I'm still nursing my wounds from having endured watching the mostly dreadful prequels, but I don't think that's it.

Nah. I'm gonna stick with my assessment that it seems chock full of umpteen kinds of mediocrity.
