Any SSR owners get new member guide?

We bought at the end of September and we just received our lithograph in yesterday's mail. However, we did not receive a new vacation planner. I'll post back if and when we receive one!

I signed in August, and received membership guide and backpack prior to departing WDW. I just got my vacation planner about 2 weeks ago, but no Litho of my new home SSR.

Call me stupid being English but whats a Litho, we joined in August for SSR, got our updated pack this week, still no member cards yet or pins or a litho (whatever that is)

Sorry for my ignorance.

A litho, or lithograph, is a print of an artists rendering of the resort. Its a kind of upgraded printing, better than photocopying.

If you look at your resort stuff with all the renderings of the resort (because there are no photos yet), the greenish one is the one that someone posted getting.

I called and asked my guide for SSR pins since we didn't receive them when we joined. She responded that the pins were only for current DVC members who took the SSR tour. After reading here, I know this is bogus so will stop by the office on our next trip to inquire.

Actually that isn't bogus. DVC has been using the pins as a promotional "thank you" to anyone who toured the SSR models. They have never been part of the welcome kits, nor have they been otherwise sent automatically to anyone who purchased SSR.

I've seen posts from one or two people who reported that they asked their guide at the time of the sale if they could get a pin, and were successful. But it is not standard practice. The answer that your guide gave is correct.

That said, you may be able to put your hands on one if you stop by the sales office, so more power to you. Personally, I didn't ask my guide for a pin, and ended up paying a couple of bucks to get one off of eBay.

Thanks - I realize the answer my guide gave was correct, but I have read SO many reports of people getting them when buying or even non DVC members who got them for taking the tour even though they didn't buy, that it's a bit frustrating to understand what the real rules on getting pins are.

We bought SSR in September and will hopefully be taking a of the SSR models during our trip in a few weeks. I'm going to see if I could get a pin. Cross your fingers as I am an avid Disney pin collector!

Ours gave the kids a ten year old anniversary pin but not an SSR one.

Thanks for the answer on litho.

Cannot wait to go and stay in SSR, hope to book up for next Christmas.
