I knew this would happen - I am sitting and thinking of buying more points.

Does anyone know if there are any special deals going on right now?
I know a few months ago there was a free Annual Pass offer - don't remember the details. Is this still going on? Any specifics? I tossed all the info to save myself.

I was going to call the guide today and ask, but I am hoping this bug wears off before I open up the ole wallet. Asking here is safe - guide would say so what do you think and I'd say send the paperwork!!!

I've been looking at purchasing my initial points through DVC at SSR. There is $10/point discount ($85/point) or free points - I think equal to what is purchased (with no maintenance costs) to be used by Sept 30. He said this incentive will end on Feb 28. Also the points being sold now are for the future building at SSR so the points purchased now are really for later in the year, thus pro-rated maintenance costs for this year (2-3-4 months instead of 11 or 12). I guess use year would be late fall. They also have some "no payments, no interest" deals as well. At this point I ended the call until I could see the info packet being mailed to me. Thought any more talking and I would have bought on the spot. Not sure if all this is for initial purchases or add-on points too.

He also said prices will be going up sometime this summer.

Last night I saw a thread on Disney VISA with 6 months no-interest on downpayments.

If all this pans out, I'll be announcing myself as a new neighbor soon.

I haven't even closed on my resale and I'm considering adding points (I got a great contract but would like a little more).

I think the $85 at SSR only applies if you're adding on a minimum of 50 points.

I just called yesterday and added 50pts at SSR .. The only special my rep told me was at SSR if you got 100 pts or more , you get a 10 dollar discount $85 , your use yr is feb and you cant use the points until next feb ..

Sounds like I may have to really consider this(w/$10 incentive). We are already borrowing points into the next year and I know we are eventually going to get ahead of ourselves and not have any points to use or borrow. Sitting at home for a year waiting for points to accumulate is NOT going to cut it. I'll give it a few more days and see if this bug passes!!

Just closed at ssr throught disney. It is 85 a point minimum of 150. we bought 210. It was ten percent down. We got an august use year, but if we wanted earlier she could have went to her superviser for June the earliest, but talked us out of that due to the break on Mtn. fees not starting untill August and we are not going untill November, My DH just wanted the points earlier in case he got the bug, and I always have the bug but November is fine with me. I hope we bought enought but our deal to each other was one time purchase and use wisely, or we could not have done it at all and I would have been waitiing for specials the rest of my life!!!!

Well you may want to call your guide back . As of 2 days ago it is 100 pt min for 85 bucks with your use yr next feb starting..
