Any songs out there that bring a tear to your eye??

#1 The Prayer by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion and #2 Over the Rainbow by Eva Cassidy.

Im not a country music fan but "Im so lonesome I could cry" hits the spot for me
I'm so NOT a country fan either, but that song and Patsy's Crazy get me pretty good, too.:) If I'm ever really, really, really sad, I tend to sing one or the other and really cry my heart out.

There are too many to count, I guess I am a SAP!!

Where were you that September Day (Alan Jackson)
The Immpossible (Joe Nichols)
The Little Girl (John Michael Mongomery)
The 11th Commandment (Colin Raye)
Just to name a few.

One day I cried all the way to work (about 15 min drive) because they kept playing songs that made me cry.

LOL, not exactly classic, but "Breeze off the River" and "You Walk With Me" from the Full Monty Broadway soundtrack always choke me up... very sweet songs.

Ave Maria
Ditto! Someone sang it at our wedding. A couple years ago when our wedding anniversary fell on a Sunday (May 21) and I was sitting right in front of the choir and a soloist sang it, I COMPLETELY lost it! I sent DS to the bathroom for tissue! I haven't sobbed like that since.

Wind Beneath my Wings will do it also because it reminds me of my dad.

That reminds me... "She's Got You" has done it for me.

"Last Kiss" used to do it when I was a pre-teen or so, way before Pearl Jam dude yucked it up (I never thought there would be a day when I couldn't remember his name!)

"I'll Be There" by The Escape Club
Don't be afraid, oh my love
I'll be watching you from above
And I'd give all the world tonight to be with you
But I'm on your side, and I still care
I may have died, but I've gone nowhere
Just think of me, and I'll be there

Geez, this is one of those things that would be embarrassing in the daylight hours. :o

Oh, duh. What about "Cryin'" by Roy Orbison!!

I would have to say

Enya - Only Time.

It was played over a video from the September 11th attacks and it reminds me of the images.

Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler just makes me bawl,

it reminds me of a friend from high school, it is put to a skit about drugs and alcohol and he saw it and heard it one day and it helped him to realize that if he didn't stop drinking/ doing drugs he was going to end up like some friends of his that had died. He went to my church and we were really good friends and a couple of years ago he was kicked out and he was having trouble staying sober, I tried to keep track of him, but he kept moving and I lost track of him, so now every time I hear the song I worry about him and can't stop crying.

Hide and My Sacrifice form Creed does....
Panis Angelicus and Ave Maria does too....

i don't actually cry but these get me the closest.

Sheryl Crow - Safe & Sound
Jars of Clay - Worlds Apart

" I know your shining down on me from heaven" from Boys To Men & Mariah Carey. That song was constantly on the radio when my Mom passed away. :(

I agree with "Tears from Heaven" by Eric Clapton. Also, I know this is a Disney board, but from the Prince of Egypt soundtrack "When You Believe", the movie version with the Hebrew children singing.:) Gets me every time.

Angel, Butterfly Kisses (thinking of DH giving away 3 DD's, we do butterfly kisses all the time!!) and God Bless the USA ( gives me a big lump in my throat!!).

So many of the songs that you've mentioned already:
Tears in Heaven
The Little Girl
Butterfly Kisses
I Hope You Dance etc. etc..........

Garth's The Dance (sometimes I change the channel cuz I just can't listen to it:( )

The most recent one that gets me misty is Kenny Chesney singing The Good Stuff!!

TONS of songs bring tears to my eyes, Shep!! I swear I'm getting sappier with age!!! :)

For example......I watched I am Sam the other night and all those old Beatle songs were bringing tears to my eyes.....must be a memory thing!!!:)

The absolute worse tho is the oldie, Where Have All the Flowers Gone. I can barely write out the title without tears!!!

Enya-May it be from The Fellowship of the Ring. That film made me cry so much that we had to stay in the cinema for 15mins I was that hysterical the second time.

Can You Hear Me written by Bob Chilcott. Its about a deaf person and how they hear through their hands. Its lovely, my only problem was that I well up everytime I hear it and we sang it in choir!

There are countless and my friends are always laughing at me about it. Such nice friends I have!

I have to agree with "Tears in Heaven"

Also "God Bless the USA" and "Where were you"...well just about any song I associate with 9/11 now.

"I'm Already There" by Lonestar gets to me for some reason.

Actually, I think there are too many to list since I seem to cry at the drop of a hat anyway.
