I got 'Butterfly Kisses' by Bob Carlisle on right now...
I am not ready for my girls to grow up...:(

For some reason "somewhere over the rainbow" brings a tear to my eye almost every time I hear it.

Butterfly Kisses is a great one for that.

There are quite a few of them and it seems I'm getting sappier and sappier as time goes by.

"The Second Star to the Right" will, for the rest of my life, make me cry every time that I hear it.

Not to mention "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce.

Amazing Grace (we sang this song at my grandpa's funeral, and whenever i hear it i can't sing it because i will start to cry)

The Rose and Wind Beneath My Wings (Bette knows how to make me cry;) ). Also, After 7's Ready Or Not makes me kinda misty eyed.

The one that really makes me cry is Tears from Heaven (Clapton).

Angel by Sarah Magloughan(I know I spelled that wrong) and Will You remember me......both of them make me think of my godson Matt who died in April at 14 years old.

Ave Maria, One Sweet Day & November Rain (all strangely remind me of my mom)

November Rain is one of my favorite songs...
'The Dance'
'If tommorow never comes'
by Garth Brooks also...:o

What's the name of that new one...its something like we're in heaven but they dubbed in a little girls voice talking to her dad who died in the terrorist attacks. I heard it on the anniversary and just talking about it makes me cry...

I love to hear November Rain, but GnR's Sweet Child 'O Mine brings me closer to tears (part of the song reminds me of my dd).

don't know but would like to hear it..

Some Chicago songs have the effect too...

I'll never forget the first time I heard Butterfly Kisses, the tears were rolling down my face as I was driving down the road.

Amazing Grace always brings a tear to my eye, sometimes worse than others, depending on the singer.

Tears From Heaven gets me too, I think because of why he wrote that song and you can hear the heartbreak in his voice. :(

Another song that gets me is Imagine by John Lennon, that song is just one of those songs that you have to stop and listen to when you hear it.

And of course Lee Greenwood's God Bess the USA, I don't think I'\ll ever get through that song without crying ever again.

I Hope you Dance by LeeAnn Womack
Say Goodnight by Beth Neilson Chapman
Time of Your Life by Greenday
Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls
Blackbird by the Beatles

There was this obscure song by Canadian group Red Rider (Tom Cochrane who sang "Life is a highway" was in the group) that made me bawl every time. The song was called "Big Leagues". I heard it alot in college in 1989. The song was about a Dad who was so proud of his son, who he wanted to play baseball in the Majors someday. But the son is killed tragically in a head-on collision. :( Just such a sad song. Hearing any part of it made me cry. I had to start listening to other stations to avoid hearing the song!

The Wonder by Natalie Merchant.

Doctors have come
from distant cities
just to see me
Stand over my bed
disbelieving what they're seeing

They say I must be one of the wonders
of God's own creation
and as far as the can see they can offer
no explanation

Newspapers ask
intimate questions
what confessions
They reach into my head
to steal the glory
of my story

They say I must be one of the wonders
of God's own creation
and as far as they can see they can offer
no explanation

I believe
Fate smiled and Destiny
laughed as she came to my cradle
"Know this child will be able"
Laughed as my body she lifted
"Know this child will be gifted
with love, with patience
and with faith
she'll make her way"

People see me
I'm a challenge
to your balance
I'm over your heads
how I confound you
and astound you
to know I must be one of the wonders
of God's own creation
and as far as you can see you can offer me
no explanation

I believe
Fate smiled and Destiny
laughed as she came to my cradle
"Know this child will be able"
Laughed as she came to my mother
"Know this child will not suffer"
Laughed as my body she lifted
"Know this child will be gifted
with love, with patience
and with faith
she'll make her way"

Everytime I hear this song, I think of the children I've worked with. It brings me joy and strength.

And for my friend Michael - My Heart Will Go On by Celine Deon

Im not a country music fan but "Im so lonesome I could cry" hits the spot for me

CSN&Y's "Teach Your Children" always makes me cry. It reminds me of my parents.

And I can never get through "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" without thinking of dear Granny who just passed away this past year.

Speaking of Natalie Merchant, Saffron, her "Beloved Wife" is such a bittersweet song. Makes me tear up everytime I hear it.
