Any Solos going to MNSSHP?

I am taking my second ever solo trip to Disney in October 2002. I have purchased a ticket to MNNSHP for Oct. 17th. Any other solos ever attend this party? Did you get your free photo done? Any advise or suggestions for me? Were you allowed to obtain candy or is that just for little kids and not big kids?
