Well, I have finally finished reading most of these 90 pages. I guess I will introduce myself.

I am a 26 yo DWF with 2 kids. I live in Alabama. We love all things Disney.
We will be at Disney for Thanksgiving. I am a member at dismates under the same name. :cheer2:

Sandy, Dave, so true!! As time passes I've come to realize that things I thought were essential to a relationship a few years ago aren't so important after all. Finding someone who can share my passion for Disney and tolerate (or maybe even share) my other quirks is crucial. :wizard: And I've said it before, here and elsewhere...most of my life is pretty portable when you get right down to it. Or maybe I could find someone who is also portable and would enjoy a skyline view... :rotfl:

And romance or no, I'm having huge amounts of fun meeting like-minded Disney adults! (Sandy, next time we'll pace ourselves better, huh?) :hourglass

I am starting to think this same way CA. If something is worth it, than no distance in the world will be too great. Besides, if we were supposed to find someone in our own "neighborhood," wouldn't we have found them by now???? :lmao:

Your Dd must be getting pretty excited -- I see your countdown is at 4 days!!! Yahooo -- have a great time .. As a single parent I find that Disney is a great place to connect with my kids! Have fun.. Michelle (I have stopped looking for Mr right/wrong and am just enjoying some more me time instead)

Hola dis4harley,

I stayed with my cousin while he was stationed at Ft. Rucker several years ago. It was really nice compared to this part of the country (no real trees around here). Being so close to Florida I'm guessing you get to visit WDW pretty often?

rer1972, thanks for the laugh tonight, that list of things to do at Walmart cracked me up. I hate going to walmart...I want to pull my hair out when I'm in there!
Thanks for the chuckle!

Welcome dis4harley. I'm an Alabama Gal too...and I ride a Harely so we that in common ...I'm a granny Disney fan lol....good luck and have fun!

lol!!! :rotfl: I have never been on a Harley. :rotfl: I guess my name is a little bit decieving. I have other reasons for choosing that name!

Hi everyone!

Just hoping to get people moving in a more positive direction!

Anyone who wants to stop by my place in Ohio to view my spectacular Disneyana collection is more than welcome, but if you truly love Disney it can be an all day affair...well....at least with the womenfolk :teeth: Just kidding :rotfl:

I'm working on a new Mickey painting and will have him ready for digitizing soon so if anyone wants me to email the pic just send me an email and I'll send it to you.

As to the other stuff that's going on in the room....the number one cause of death of a relationship is that one person tried to change the other. This goes both ways so it's not a guy or gal thing. If you aren't happy with them (All of them) the way they are, then it's not the RIGHT ONE. Change can be good if it's yourself you are trying to change for YOU, like quiting smoking, drinking to excess or dressing like a grunge, but changing YOU to make someone else happy is going to make YOU miserable and will eventually take the relationship down with it.

Remenber, relationships are not 50/50. If either of you gives less than 100% than their is a serious imbalance and what happens to things that get out of balance?

Just a few rambling thoughts from an ancient one...

Bill

Thanks again for the sage advice, MBF. However, I don't think you really qualify as "ancient" unless you're channelling some spirit from a previous century. :goodvibes

Hugs to those who want them! Go Disney!

BTW...Pirates was great cept for the "swishbuckling" swashbuckler...what's up with that?

I agree...it takes 2 to tango "tangle" and 2 to make it right...communication makes all the difference...lol just wish I had someone to communicate with at times...i miss my best friend, lover, pal, confidant!!!But have learned to enjoy life to its fullest reguardless because life is gonna go on reguardless!! lol :joker: princess:  :cool1: :moped:

Wait a minute Bill, maybe one of those spirits is Walt Disney himself? If it is ask him if he can get us into the Magic Kingdom for free. :jumping1:

I use a lot of thyme in my cajun cooking, BUT could also use extra thyme...I'd spend it in the WORLD!!!

What's the "swishbuckling" swashbuckler? I must have missed it. I liked the movie but I thought maybe it could have a little bit more of an ending that seemed something like an ending. I know we all knew there'd be a sequel. At least now my kids want to ride POTC, I've always wondered what the ride was like.

I always thought that "swishbuckling" meant making a perfect basketball shot that caused the entire basket assembly to collapse to the ground. Perhaps a "swash" is a special belt worn by pirates, which when buckled, keeps pants up. A "swashbuckler" is probably an attendant whose job is to assist the pirate in buckling his swash.

:wave2: Hey CinRell,

I've been running reports all morning :badpc:, and I had to take a breather from all the numbers. I've a couple of jokes saved up. Maybe this will make you chuckle...

15 Things to do when they drag you to Walmart…
1. Get 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they aren't looking.

2. Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. Make a trail of Mountain Dew on the floor leading to the rest rooms.

4. Walk up to an employee and tell him/her in an official tone,
" 'Code 3' in housewares".... and see what happens.

5. Go the Service Desk and ask to put a bag of M&M's on lay away.

6. Move a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

7. Set up a tent in the camping department and tell other shoppers you'll invite them in if they'll bring pillows from the bedding department.

8. When a clerk asks if they can help you, begin to cry and ask,
"Why can't you people just leave me alone?"

9. Look right into the security camera & use it as a mirror, and pick your nose.

10. While handling guns in the hunting department, ask the clerk if he knows where the anti - depressants are.

11. Dart around the store suspiciously loudly humming the "Mission Impossible" theme.

12. In the auto department, practice your "Madonna look" using different size funnels.

13. Hide in a clothing rack and when people browse through,
say "PICK ME!" "PICK ME!"

14. When an announcement comes over the loud speaker, assume the fetal position and scream..
"NO! NO! It's those voices again!!!!"

15. Go into a fitting room and shut the door and wait a while and then yell, very loudly, "There is no toilet paper in here!

:rotfl: :lmao: hmm have I ever done anything like that :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 ......well not at walmart anyway
