Well, it seems like this is as good a thread as any to introduce myself to the disboard. The US Government does tend to recognize me as an adult male. I am closely approaching that 30yr mark where I can either fry at Carousel, or run for Sanctuary (any Logan’s Run fans? … anyone … Bueller?). Also, I guess I fit the profile of being single, although I’m not really looking right now either. From my perspective: Why bother being committed to a serious relationship when I can lounge in my boxers eating cold pizza and drinking even colder beer, while watching reruns of ‘BJ & the Bear’ and ‘Who’s the Boss’ at 4AM on cable TV (doesn’t that just paint a lovely mental image)

Based on the Disney scale from pg1, I’d probably rank myself a solid 6.5 or so. I’m a big thrill ride fan, with Busch Gardens Williamsburg probably being my favorite coaster park. But, I feel WDW is one of the greatest vacation spots on the planet. By staying on-site, you can pretty much let Disney take care of all dining, transportation etc … WDW is one of the few places where you can fully immerse yourself and not have to worry about any outside life/work stress, world conflict or other annoyances. That’s what a vacation is all about.

I don’t think I’d be able to get by on Disney alone. While I love Disney animation, I’m also a huge fan of Myazaki, and anything on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim line-up. I do respect the fanatical love of Disney culture that many disers share, but for me, Disney is just one of many interests.

I’ve got a WDW trip coming up towards the end of the year, and I’m enjoying reading the disboard for the wealth of info. I don’t know how often I’ll get to post as I’m usually more of a lurker. But, I may drop in from time to time. Please note that I have a tad of a ‘biting’ sense of humor, but I’ll try to stay on my best behavior.

And so ends my long winded rambling. If anyone got anything useful from the above (‘cause it sure didn’t make any sense to me), then I salute you!

1) Hates Disney
2) Doesn't hate it but it's like pulling teeth to get them there.
3) tolerates it begrudgingly and nit picks everything
4) is okay with it but when given an option prefers other places
5) Is okay with it but only once every few years
6) Will go but wants to do Universal, Sea World, Bushe Gardens etc.
7) Goes willingly and will do almost anything
8) Totaly gets into Disney on almost every level. A day without Disney is like a day without magic.
9) Is into Disney on EVERY level...sells children to get in another trip.
10) If you won the lottery you would LIVE in Disney World!
