Any Single Disney Men Out There?

Where do men go....

You can't be that clueless can you?

1) Sports Bars....not so much to drink, but socialize and....WATCH SPORTS
2) Grocery Stores-We have to eat too.
3) Laundromats-We DO wash our clothes occasionally.
4) Car shows-Classic or new.
5) Bowling....lots of chances to mix.
6) Golf-sign up for group lessons not an all female class.
7) Vacation where singles vacation.
8) Singles cruises (Disney is NOT a singles cruise line)
9) Charity events. Great place to meet quality men.
10) Singles mixers (Dances).

If you ask questions or for help or offer help you have a conversation started. Would this be better on the grill or in a fry pan. Guys LOVE to grill.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong here?

Who are you rooting for? (the jersey will provide a clue)

Where to avoid:

Someone else can continue this area....

Actually, I have had WAY more fun on Disney cruises as a single than other cruise lines... On the Magic, they have a singles' get-together at lunch every day, and other singles' events in the evenings. The cruise staff always does such a great job of hosting these events and introducing people to each other. I have made some great friends there. Other cruise lines... I guess they figure a bulk of the people are single anyway, so why bother organizing anything?

Cool! That's great to know Gina cause I'm going October of next year! :woohoo:

Yeah, where do we go, and what do we do? MBF hit a few places, everyone has to go to supermarkets. Remember that scene from Animal House? I have a washer, but have to go to the laundromats for the driers. Home depot is a popular place, we all have to fix up our homes! Yard sales are fun, you never know what you will find at one of those. Going into the city is a nice way to spend the day. I don't bowl, but belong to two bike clubs, where everyone (male and female) wear those tight shorts. A lot of times it is better to ride in the back, depending on who is in front. Some of us frequent dismate chats. And we go down to Disney, in October, December, and May. At least that is when I will be there!

Thank you! I guess I am pretty clueless...

So - WHEN do you go to the grocery store? Because I usually shop early Saturday morning (like 7:30 a.m.) and there are never any guys there. Do single guys shop evenings or weekends?

And I liked the Home Depot suggestion! My sons LIVE at Home Depot (and Canadian Tire) so I almost never go there - if I need something, they'll pick it up for me since they're there all the time. So I can see how there are probably lots of guys there. And I could pick up more Lime Green Mickey Heads while I'm there! Hmm...

My friend met her fiance on eharmony.com
A guy I know met a woman up there about 2 years ago and they're still seeing each other.

I tried it and never got beyond the emailing stage.

:confused3

DCL may not be a singles cruise line, but singles have a GREAT time on DCL. I went by myself. Made amazing friends. Had fun. Relaxed. I never once felt out of place.

I didn't even try the singles get togethers -- at the time I was still (unhappily) married, and it felt wrong.

Ok I have just checked in and I know I am behind in the conversation. But was my picture in the "I missed the photo thread" The one that prompted the car in guys pictures comments? In all honesty that is one of the only really good shots of me. I dont know why I took it in front of the car other that the front of my house looks like crap right now. (Really need to trim the bushes) The car is not a real expensive vehicle so its not like I have a lot of money. (well I am doing ok just didnt want a huge car payment) Besides I am in full blown midlife crisis and I am proud of my new toy. I really wasnt trying to impress anyone other than with my boyish good looks (LOL)

They aren't up that early on a Saturday or at least not to grocery shop. Most likely if THEY are there for the same reason you are, it's in the evening after work or, at this time of the year, abouit an hour before the football game they are going to watch. Keep in mind, they are open to skipping the game if a gal shows interest in them and would maybe go have a drink at a SPORTS bar so they can still watch the game.

Tip for the week from Dr. Bill:

Don't feign interest in something while dating and intend to drop it if the relationship continues. If you aren't really interested, share it but make sure they know you'd rather be doing something else. If it's a good relationship, they will share your interests as well even if not into it.

lol good advice MBF. As a rule I think best advice is to be yourself. If you find a person with whom you share common interests and become friends that will make the best match for you.Keep it going everyone this us great. And John...I didn't even notice the car...all I saw was a cute smile! DJ :cool1: :thumbsup2 pirate: princess: :wave2: :bounce:

As a single guy, early evening, after work.

Just popping on to say hi......and in response to where to find single guys...if you live anywhere near a casino, that's also a good place to go! i hit Atlantic City at least once every week (it's nice to be 40 min. away!). Granted I have never approached a guy down there, I LOVE to sit and watch them! :goodvibes

Not all guys post a pic with a car. One of my pics was outside the Yacht Club Galley, and then one was on a golf cart. :thumbsup2
