we were here the first week of September two years ago when WDW was infested with those crazy critters! But alas, we are here right now (arrived on Thursday) and haven't seen any at all.
Because of the increase in rain this year I think we're going to see more of an increase in mosquitoes instead. I'm sure the "love" will be out but the mosquitoes IMHO are worse when they're bad!
LOL Lynn, do you enjoy love bugs or something? You go in May and October... hm.
Well, if not then I'll say please don't come until after October 8 for you. But the love bug gods may only allow one request per person per year we'll see.
What should i expect the last week of Oct? My youngest DD is freaked out by bugs, she hates if a fly lands on here but are they swarming around or isolated?
We are about 20 minutes from WDW and I saw a couple flying around yesterday when i was out gardening. Those little things are so annoying - at least they don't bite!!
There were a couple at the pool at AKL yesterday.....Bleh!
DisneyFan2, they will probably be gone (hopefully) by the end of October. They don't bite or hurt you, but they will fly around you and land on you. They are super annoying.
We're 45 minutes north of Disney and saw the first ones over the weekend. Just a few pair of them. It's hard to say when they'll arrive, or when they'll be at their worst. We've never been bothered by them at the parks and I don't know why. But we see lots of them on the screening at our front entry!
