Any shows like Jack Ryan, Homeland, or Designated Survivor to watch?

Jack Ryan is kind of boring. I'd skip that.

Treadstone is OK. A little confusing.

If you're in the US, I believe Prime has the ABC Murders. Malkovich does a pretty good Poirot. He's no David Suchet, but I thought he was much better than Branagh.

Well, this one is not exactly like the shows you listed (I loved HOMELAND), but I am really enjoying Bosch. It's been around for a while and I can't believe I turned up my nose at it for so long. It's not "the government against the spies" kind of show but the main character is really great as are the story lines.

Love Bosch.....the show Goliath is really good too.

We really liked a show called Informer on Prime. It's only six episodes but very well done. We also liked The Night Manager. Another short series but good cast.

Yes I liked 24, Designated Survivor, Madam Secretary, and House of Cards.

We loved Designated Survivor! I'm really annoyed that they just abandoned it and won't be producing any more seasons.

We also watched Ozark. DEFINITELY watch it. Although not at all like Breaking Bad, DH refers to it as the "white collar, money-laundering side" of Breaking Bad. Right now we are watching Mars on Netflix.

If you haven't seen them, West Wing and Madame Secretary are both good. I think I saw all of West Wing when it was on live TV and most of Madame Secretary, so we watch the occasional episode (or 7, if it's a binge-night)! We also are big fans of Six Feet Under... I think it's on HBO, not sure (we have the full series on CD- or is it DVD? I'm old, I'll get it some day!)

House of Cards came to mind when I first read the shows in the original post.

We watched Homeland in "real time" from the series premiere to the series finale. Loved it. We also enjoyed Dexter (watched that simultaneously with Homeland), Ozark, Breaking Bad. Loved Bloodline on Netflix. Just finished Defending Jacob on Apple TV+ - the service offers a free 7 day trial and we were able to finish the show in that time.
