Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

Thinking about designing shirts that coordinate with our bands - and yes, we are all adults.

I think that's a great idea! I chose the pink band to match my pink Mickey Crocs and pink Baggallini bag lol.

I did my bands Saturday, also have my FP+ set & it's stated they MBs have been shipped. Haven't gotten any email or invites as of yet.

If I recall right aren't these colored bands going to cost extra when or if they are put into common use? I had seen somewhere that the grey bands will be handed out at check in at resort.

So I know all the basic stuff magicbands do (room key, park pass, fastpass+, credit card etc) but are there any other cool things it does in parks??

For example I know you can use it to design your car at test track.

Anyone know of anything else??

As far as we know there won't be a cost associated to the MagicBands, but rather a cost to add accessories such as CoverBands or BandIts etc. The way that guests can customize a band (pick a colour) is by booking a room only or package far enough in advance. If the guests choose to simply pick up MagicBands upon check-in they will be given iconic grey.

Does anyone know if BLT is included in the September testing. I know that CR is but haven't seen anyone staying at BLT in September getting bands. MDE has the fast pass+ tabs and magic band tabs but doesn't say anything about customizing bands. When I click fast pass+ it takes me to the page but then I get an error. Anyone have info for me?

As far as we know it is only CR testing, not BLT Sorry!

Here's hoping you get them tomorrow! Mine don't even say shipped yet but for what it is worth it seems like they send them out in batches as today we had people receive bands that customized on Wed and Thurs.

I am hoping someone here can either confirm my thoughts or offer some advice on how to handle this...I'm staying at POR, my dates are 9/28 - 10/05. I was able to do the re-check in trick & then customize my magic bands . I was not able to select any FP+ options.

I had an issue with the bands when I customized - my DBF & DD were switched. On the first page it would show DBF name, then when I clicked to customize it, that page showed DD name. I customized & saved, then summary page shows DBF name, but under the magic band, shows DD name - wires got crossed somewhere...I'm not going to call IT right now b/c I haven't received an official invite yet & doubt they'd help me at all without that - is that reasoning correct or should I call? I was hoping I could just customize them as is & just have the privileges added/changed when we check in at POR front desk - can this be done or is this an IT issue that should be resolved before they ship...?

FWIW - the site said I had until Aug 28th (30 days out) to customize my bands, but if the invites are going out at 18 days prior, I may not be able to get IT to help before they ship, if I'm correct in thinking they won't help w/o an official invite....

I think you are fine to call IT. Several sources have said if you can select FP+ and customize MagicBands you are part of the official test!

i hope its that pattern i have even gone back to the august discussion to see what was their pattern of receiving them and its mostly likely what you are saying.

I did the same thing. It makes sense that they send shipments every other day. Every day might be a bit excessive considering it is just the test at the moment.

We never did online check in. Still haven't (note to self: do online check in). We were able to customize bands, received them and schedule FP+. It may have more to do with your check in date than check in. Ours is the 4th so we got them sooner. I am in the app so I can't see if you have a ticker to tell dates. When do you arrive?

We arrive on Sept 2nd but I just customized the MagicBands on Friday, so I suspect they will come in the next day or two

I tried to get BOG lunch reservations. I went to beaourguestlunch.disney.go.com and logged in. It recognized my first and last name but wanted me to put in my resort res#. When I try to put that in it will only let me enter numbers not the letters am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help?

You need the numeric alternate confirmation number for your package reservation. I found mine somewhere... it's driving me nuts because I can't figure out where I read it. It had to have been somewhere on Disney's collections of websites or in an email, but I can't find it anywhere. It's not even on the WDTC mailing with the vouchers in it. If you can find it, though, it should work.

Same here. Then I read that when you complete "check in online" under your resort reservations you will 1. be able to customize magic bands and 2. you will see your 12 digit resort confirmation # (no letters). So I 'checked in' and sure enough I was immediately directed to customize my bands and I was able to log in to the BOG lunch reservation website. I got a BOG time that fit our schedule and I was able to order our meals. Hope this works for you!

The number can be found in 2 places. On your Magical Express yellow luggage tag or its listed on the Magic Band page after you customize and order your bands.
