Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

So I customized my MBs on Saturday, made my BOG lunch reservation, and all my FP+ times are done .... not really expecting anything today but the dog starts his special stranger at the door bark .... could it be .... could it be???? YES! YES! There's a UPS overnight envelope .... as I move closer I see Disney logo on the envelope! Jump for joy! Dogs think I'm crazy! As I pick up the envelope I feel it .... there are NO MAGIC BANDS in here! I tear it open .... it's a stupid form flyer inviting me to join the test!!! Oh well .... to wait another day .... or two .... or three.

Customized my bands Tuesday night, got a shipping confirmation on Thursday and we received them at 10am this morning! I assume the delay in the shipping was because it was Saturday. Here is the photo I posted to my instagram!

Okay, love the wrist pic. We already have several superhero poses in mind to do with our MBs. (Because we are big fat nerds, no really, we are.) Thinking about designing shirts that coordinate with our bands - and yes, we are all adults.

We've already discussed getting the appropriately matching RapidFill mug covers! One green and one orange!

PS: love the TARDIS! We made a TARDIS construction paper magnet for our cruise door!

I'm not sure a ghost reservation will do anything other than give them MB, because they will not be active till they check in and the CM runs the MB across the mickey head to activate, unless of course this has changed since the beginning of the month, getting a MB in the mail without checking in, will just give everyone a pretty bracelet, that does nothing, I'm pretty sure the FP+ will not work.

There have been reports that run the gamut from "No they will not work" to "Some features will work" to "Yes, all features will work".

We won't know for sure until September

Mine says the same thing. I have not received a shipping confirmation email or anything either. I can't wait to see them, I am thinking a Wednesday delivery or around there.. I will wait patiently..

Mine said the same thing. Then all of sudden it said shipped, then today here they are. I did them late Thursday night. I never received any emails, confirmations letters etc.... My MDE says my band is active. Hope they work upon arrival.

Craig who is a member of the DisUnplugged podcast team has confirmed that after his one night stay at Pop his Annual Pass is still attached to his band and he is still able to make FP+ selections if he wanted to go into the parks tomorrow. As for room entry, meal plan, or charging capabilities that are added at the front desk I can't say for sure.

Can I ask what the purpose of speculating the worst possible outcome is? You cannot know definitively that the MBs won't work until someone from the SEPTEMBER test reports that they either do or don't work.

When I go in to MDE it says my band is activated and I am in control of activating and deactivating using MDE.

How much are they wasting on all this over nighting redundant letters (I know some aren't technologically inclined and won't get the email that arrives the same day as the letter) but is the shipping of the bands even needed either?!

Well, this is funny! Got my MagicBands on Weds/Thurs. Yesterday I get the formal invitation email and today I get the UPS letter inviting to test. LOL!!! I would have until the 25th of August to customize my bands. Checking in Sept 4th.

Bands will be used for DMX bus hence being shipped out to people!!

You have to have 3. It's not optional. Just schedule one earlier and be a no show.

This is a major flaw of the system. It forces you to waste FP that you won't be using.

I really did try.....some days we have full days in the park, but others we do not. It's those partial days that are really difficult to squeeze three in.

Ex: we will be there Sept 13 and going to DHS for Villains night. BUT...can't get to the park before 8:45-9 pm. We are visiting my daughter in St Augustine during the day. We chose TSM, RNR and TOT as our FP choices. I tried all the options and then went with "edit". Still couldn't fit them all. It is a shame.....one FP will def be wasted
