Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

According to the CM I talked to (for what it's worth), if you were unable to keep the RO at the beginning of your reservation, you would still be able to use your Magic Bands during a stay a WL. He said all that would be required would be "a simple set up and tap at the front desk at WL"

I asked if it would affect any of the FP selections and he said that no, as long as your MYW package (with the room and tickets) is active, your fast pass selections will remain intact.

(This conversation was about if we booked and no-showed the reservation --which is what we were thinking of doing--I did not ask about canceling, but it seems like it would be the same either way)

Magicbands are just glorified KTTW cards (which are used pretty much everywhere now, I believe?). I wouldn't expect the Magicband to suddenly become invalid, since it will be read just like an RFID KTTW card.

I would still, however, have some concerns that once I cancelled the FP+ resort, the MDE site could at the very least "refuse" any modifications/changes to my FP+ selections, and at worst it could delete them when it sees that I don't have a stay at a designated resort.

I know there is no way for my to make it for my RO at POP the day before my regular vacation. When I called, I was told that even though Kidani is not a part of the test group, my MB are still tied to that reservation and it would not be a problem. They said Kidani would be able to link our MB's to our room. I guess we will find out.

After reading some recent posts, I took some previous posters' advice and completed my online check-in, and was then able to customize my Magic Band! Saweeeeeeet!

Thinking about making this its own thread because I know a few people were frustrated by this!

Trying to add a Will Call ticket to FP+ but can't? Found a solution!

I have a confirmation number for a seasonal pass, that I kept getting mixed information for! I was told by MDE techs that YES you can add it to MDE if you have ticketing services convert it to a traditional number, then I called ticketing services and was told that it is their understanding that it can not be done.

Each time I chose "Will Call" from the MDE it would give me an error that the ticket had been printed and needed to be exchanged for a digital version. Very frustrating since 3 out of the 4 people in my party have valid APs and we all have access to FP+ (except the 4th person) I was ready to throw my towel in and just re-do the FP+ when we got to WDW. Until I thought of something!

I noticed on the PDF confirmation page with Goofy on it, there is a confirmation barcode but further down there is ANOTHER barcode much longer. I typed this into Will Call and it said INVALID. OK! But it looks suspicially like the barcodes on my "legacy" annual passes. I chose the option that said I had an older ticket purchased before February 2013, but in that barcode and WHAM!!! Instantly recognized!! It even knows its a confirmation for an AP and states that he won't have access to discounts on the website until he receives the pass, but he has MDE access!!!!!

I hope this helps someone, I'm off to set up our FP+!!

My son has Asperger's and I love what the FP+ would bring to our trip. Based on what I currently have scheduled, it will be worth the $100 if I can't cancel my POP RO.

I think you could ask for a Guest assistance card and skip all the lines.. It is worth to ask My sister in law went with her 2 kids with special needs and they got one and it made it lot easier.... Have a nice trip

I have a stay at a testing resort and then switch to a non testing resort. I would love to have the MB switched to the new resort.

We have used the GAP card in the past, but have not recently. We are transitioning so to speak. But thanks for the tip!!

I was just able to customize my Magic Bands. I did what was suggested earlier and updated my check-in. I was then able to customize. It stated I had until August 27 to customize. Once I customized the bands I got more selections for Fastpass+. I still can only make Fastpass+ selections through Sept. 28. Hopefully that will change soon.

I wonder when/if 9/29 and after will be available. We arrive on 9/28.

If we stay two nights at a hotel included in the test, and the rest at a hotel that's not included, how does that affect FP+?
Do you only get them for the beginning of the vacation, or are they available for length of stay, regardless of where you finish?

It seems like if you do the resort with the testing first, you'll be able to use the magic band and fastpass+ for your entire stay, even at the non-testing resort. If you do the non-testing resort first, then you'll only be able to do it at the testing resort.

We're staying 1 night at Pop...our magic bands arrived today and we've made fastpass+ selections for all days that our other package (staying at ASMo) has tix for. -The system won't let you book more days than what you have tix for, but it appears my stay and package at ASMo's is already linked to the magic band. I didn't do anything, just made the reservation under my same account on the Disney website.

Honestly, It's not really "checking in". It's more confirming your information, basically. Any reason you don't want to?
I added AKL today, and 15 minutes after online check in I was working on our magic bands and fast passes. Really amazing...and I don't often say that about Disney's IT.
