Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

DH and I just finished customizing our Magic Bands and setting up our Fastpass+ :cheer2: DH really wanted to test them out . We are at Pop 9/2 - 9/8. We are so excited for our " umpteenth" trip to the world. :rotfl2:

Every cast member claims there are no September arrivals getting MagicBands yet. I swear sometimes we know more about it than they do. Three different CMs say if people are getting them they must be arriving in August and overlapping into the first week of September. That there may be NO testing in September. And not to trust info I get from "third parties" on the Internet. So stop filling my head with information they don't want me to have you "third parties". LMAO.

I wish I was more excited...I just feel confused!!! I used the regular FP last time we were there (almost 10 years ago) and we really liked it.

So what is everyone the most excited about...the fact that you get to pick 3 different rides a day and have a time frame for them??

Can we still use the old FP for the rides we don't pick for FP+?

I would call customer service about your hotel reservation not fully registering in MDE. They helped us with some ADRs we couldn't get to show up and the gentleman on the phone was able to fix it all up for us in a jiff.

I called and it turns out that somehow my husband is listed as the account owner AND again under family / friends. The ADR for kona is the only reservation linked to him as the account owner (Buzz lightyear). All of the other reservations and park tickets are linked to his icon under family; with the Mr. Incredible icon. The CM said there is nothing we can do to fix this since he is the primary guest on all the reservations. We would have to cancel all of the Mr Incredible reservations, rebook and then link the new ressies to the Buzz icon DH. She suggests leaving as is and after we are finished with this trip; go in and delete the Mr Incredible icon DH. I just hope this does not some how mess up our chances to do the MB testing. :headache:

Can someone confirm if DVC reservations have been included in the testing so far? We are booked on points so I wasn't sure if that too would eliminate us from testing.

They couldn't fix it? We had the SAME problem with the ADRs that's why I told you to call. Mom accidentally had two MDE accounts and the one she didn't use was set as the primary on the ADRs but they went in the computer and fixed it for us...

hmm.. no the CM said they were told to tell callers to wait until afterwards and then just cancel the duplicate one. My DH said that he never created the new one, that when he linked the reservation it created the new one on its own.. but i dunno i wasn't there with him when did all this. :scratchin

I would hate to have to call back again and I know we are not cancelling and rebooking for sure.

Probably not worth it. Do you all at least have access to the account the hotel is on?

yes we do, we can see all of the ressies made whether they are tied to the Buzz DH or Mr Incredible DH.. very strange indeed, but we will have to wait and fix it for the next trip.

For now at least you have access. That one will be the one to watch for MagicBands to pop up on.

I just wanna wear the magic band. LOL!!!! I like picking for a specific time and knowing that, if we are late on the bus getting to RD, I have a designated time to ride whatever popular attraction. I am most excited about TSM. Never been on that!

Oh trust me...I will definitely be wearing my band proudly!! I just didn't know if I was missing something!

Ok, so looking at my options, hypothetically speaking and if we decide to do this, can anyone tell me if this would work. If we want magic bands and fastpass+ badly enough, and we are not able to get down to Disney any earlier than our current reservation, could we basically double book (I know this is possible, as the system is already letting me book this...just asking for the credit card info.), as in keep our regular package reservation at a hotel not doing the testing and then also book a 1 night stay at Pop, on our check-in day to get the magic bands and fastpass +. I know it's basically a waste of money and I have no idea if we'll do it, but I'd just like to know our options.

I'm thinking we could possibly go to Pop first and check-in...getting the magic bands activated, and then hopefully go check in at ASMo's (our regular package) and basically just waste the night at Pop.

Other than the waste of money, can anyone see any problems that we'd run into?

When we first were thinking of doing this, we were thinking of just going a day early, but honestly it'd probably be cheaper and easier just to double book a night and do it that way...if it's possible.

No employees have been willing to cough up any rumors for us.

I think because the decision on what resorts are being added in might not have been decided yet....but I'm still pages behind so I might be wrong by the time I catch up. LOL

any one else being able to customize their magic bands at 30 days window i will be down to 30 days tomorrow staying at the contemporary.

Like some of you, I'm considering booking one night at POP just to get the MagicBands. Eesh, how pathetic! I will actually be in Orlando from Sept 11-21st, but we are currently staying at the Renaissance SeaWorld for 11-13, then moving to VWL for the rest of our stay.

Would I have to actually CHECK-IN at POP to get my bands to work? That would be a total PITA. I honestly wouldn't mind eating the $135 room cost (as opposed to canceling after getting the bands in the mail) but I won't even consider it if I have to go there in person to check in to a room I don't intend to use.

So far, it appears check-ins around 9/8/13 are able to do it...I'm at 29 days and biting my nails! :scared1:

I thought about doing something like this too but checking in a day early. I don't know if it works if you're doing split stays. I'm doing a Poly/BC split.

Can you check into two hotels on the same day? Thats what you mean right? I guess maybe you could because the hotel systems are not all connected.
