Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

I got it all the way into my cart and stopped myself. Because the e-mail invites haven't gone out and we haven't reached the 17 day out mark I would hate to do this only to find out when all the invitations actually go out that my ACTUAL hotel was also getting them. So instead I'm waiting. Patiently. (I'M LYING THERE IS NO PATIENCE AT ALL)

We did not getting an e-mail invitation; just checked this morning and I was able to make the fast pass selections, but not order the magic bands. Checked a few minutes ago and was able to order the Magic Bands now. We are 21 days out and staying at Pop. Perhaps this is a gradual roll out since there was no e-mail invitation by resort and date of arrival until they incorporate all resorts and reservations. Only time will tell though. Was disappointed that I couldn't make reservations for the parade or fireworks viewing though; maybe that will be added over the next few days. I did notice that the attractions with fast pass were not always the same every day. Assuming that when a certain number of fast passes are issued for that attraction, they are blocked out. They did show up on other days though.

Has anybody been able to do magic bands or FP+ with a checkin date of Sept 8th or later for POP yet?

I just had a... rhymes with Witch of a CM tell me that Pop wasn't testing in September. That no not everyone at Pop in September will necessarily get bands. And she couldn't give me any additional information and practically hung up on me. We must be pestering them too much.

We are staying at Boardwalk, and I doubt we'll be part of the test

RO is only numbers and the packages have letters.

So the Be Our Guest fastpass+ is only for RO reservations. Fascinating.

So you're reservation number at POR was all numbers? I wonder what makes the difference between having a reservation with all numbers and one with letters in it...

Just to clarify a couple of things...

Our Package (with letters in the confirmation) starts on Monday. We are driving down from NC, and were planning on leaving on Saturday or Sunday (it's about 8 hours) and we were gonna "go slow" and get hotels on Sat/Sun anyway. BUT I know us, and we will be too excited to start our vacation, and would probably drive straight thru ANYWAY.. so.. adding a RO isn't a biggie.. we'd probably be paying for at least 1 night on the road anyway.....

I thought the ressie thing was odd too.. our package has letters in it (it's a MYW + FD that I upgraded to DLX, plus tix w/PH).

When I booked the RO (also directly thru the WDW site), it had all numbers (it was the 12 digit confirmation instead of the 8 in the package). I assume it's the difference between a package (WDW Travel) and RO (CRO)?? -- that's just a guess.

Magic Bands & FP+ were immediately available once I booked the RO.

The only rides I would book from that list are Pooh, Peter Pan and Little Mermaid at Magic Kingdom, Soarin' at Epcot, the Safari at Animal Kingdom and Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios. If we aren't able to book Fastpass + for those rides we will survive.

Yeah, I'm sure they are. But let's face it, there's no updates is there? There's hundreds of us sat at our computers constantly checking for news and on MDE to see if we can get the magic bands yet!
I'm literally pulling my hair out, I'd be calling them too if it wasn't so expensive from the UK

It has some cool options (FP+ To Table and you get to pre-order your meal) or FP+ Expedite which you don't order your meal until you get there. I kinda like that idea. I am going for ordering when we get there, we have two kids going with us and I can imagine a meltdown if they decide to change when they get there. Not bad for adults that know what they want.

I dont think you can cancel the RO and still use the bands. Not that I have any clue, but I would assume the bands aren't "activated" till you check into Pop. So even though you may have them, they are linked to that ressie and if that ressie is "dead" they wont work. But I have no idea. I was planning on actually coming in 1 day early just to get the bands.

How many digits should the confirmation number be? Also do you have to have an early Sept check in date for it to work??

Not completely sure of that...using the numbers from my Magical Express luggage tags-the yellow ones you put on your bags for transporting them to the resort-I was able to book the BOG FP for 9/21 through the link. I had tried with my package res number and because it had letters in it, it would not go. Someone found out that it would take the magical express numbers, I plugged those in and it worked like a charm. It seems to me that it is in no way linked to the regular site and has nothing to do with FP+ or magic bands. There was a thread over on the dining board that I can't locate now all about this.

I will add that I thought it was very odd that we received our Magical express mail at about 60 days out, normally we would not have those until around 30 days out.

Hm interesting, I wonder what that would look like (cancelling the reservation) because although they may not be linked anymore to the Pop reservation. MB are reusable and tied to the person, not the room. So I would imagine as long as I had one linked to my AP in MDE, I could use it for FP+ just not for the boardwalk reservation. Something for me to consider! (I probably wouldnt do it, but i'd be curious if this would work lol)

I need to catch up on the thread, but I just ordered or MB for sept 7-14 at POP. Talked to a cm due to a name mix up and he confirmed we will still have traditional FP with our KTTW cards! I'm so thrilled!!

Totally just pulled the trigger and moved our reservation from POFQ to Pop (9/5-9/8). We will be arriving late on the first night anyway and will be spending 9/7 at Discovery Cove so we'll just spoil ourselves during the second part of our vacation at Poly Club (9/8-9/12).

Got our FP+, MBs, and ended up saving about $200 in the process Win-win!

As much as we are paying for the hotel I will ask as many questions as I like. LMAO.

Ok, so I just did the nasty and booked a RO at POP. DW at first said she didn't want to do it because of some of the issues they have been having with them. So my first thought was if we have issues I will never hear the end of it and did not want to deal with that on vacation. But then I realized I have an out, we can still use our RFID APs as a backup.

Can't wait for them to arrive. You know that once this thing rolls out that the fancy boxes and color choice options are going to disappear. The FP+ was not the deciding factor as we seldom need to use FP in September. I just hat the pain in the neck of digging out then passing out AP's at the gate and then collecting them.

Is it wrong? I don't think it is. We are playing within the rules.
