Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

I'm getting bummed out by my own thread!

I started this thing, expecting (hoping) to be invited to the party, and looks like I'll be on the outside looking in. We are 25 days out, staying at ASMu and looks like the choice of hotel is blocking us.

I'm sure this wasn't their intention. For people to book nights at hotels just to get the bands. We are debating. We would essentially be double booking a night. Decided to wait until we saw actual email invitations going out. For all we know this is the start of them adding hotels for September and others will be added in the next few days. So we wait.

1. First night at POP
2. First night at AKL
3. First night at YC
4. First night at CR

Then we realized (for us) it was silly to re-arrange our entire trip to try and get MagicBands.

We may keep the POP idea in our back pocket....but I agree with MightyGitis....I am holding out hope that more resorts will be added to the test for September. After all, people reporting are 21-25 days out and the Aug test emails were sent 14-17 days out. The infrastructure to "activate" reservations already exists for POP, AKL, CR & YC - maybe they are working on the infrastructure to "activate" reservations at 4 more resorts and will have them online by the end of this week? After all, Thursday is the "17 day" mark for the Sept 1st reservations!

Would i be crazy to switch resorts with only 32 days to go? LOL Having a 15 month old and a 6 year old i really would love to be able to book some rides in advance! MightyGitis i hope POR and WL are included so we both can do the happy dance !

ACK! Didn't think about the AP discount. My sister already has an AP, and I'm getting one upon arrival. Now it's even more tempting.

I divided it per person too to justify the 1 night at POP. But we only paid $46 for our room with the cast member rate.

Made the fastpass picks this morning; this afternoon, I was able to order the Magic Bands. Never received an invitation, just showed up on MDE. Maybe they are slowly rolling things out now, by date and resort(?)

I'm staying at AKL - Sept 4-14. Was able to book my Fastpass+ first thing this morning for the entire trip. "Personalize MagicBands" did not active until this afternoon. My kids are super excited. Hope it all works out. I am personally excited, but also nervous about the whole thing. I hope we can still get "old" fastpasses as well. Having only 3 a day is a worry for me. Our family always has taken full advantage of Fastpass. I am really excited to be part of something new at Disney though!

You know that makes sense, if they were to add more resorts maybe they would need more time than the 17 day lead time to get more bands out to more guests.

As for the $135 night at Pop, that is our night at MNSSHP, so I'm thinking that's a no for us.

Package at POR starting 9/2 (6 day tix, DLX Dining) ... NO INVITE & NO Access via the MDE menu's.

Added RO at POP 8/31 & 9/1 this AM.

Immediately had access to customize MB & select FP+, for entire length of stay.

Based on this, I just booked a RO for one night at pop (sept 12th). (I cant access plus or bands yet though). We check into BC on the 13th and I want magic bands! . If BC gets to test, I can cancel that one night (or if Pop does not extend testing into mid sept) . Yes I am a sad sad girl!

So you're reservation number at POR was all numbers? I wonder what makes the difference between having a reservation with all numbers and one with letters in it...

RO is only numbers and the packages have letters.
