I just re-did my online check-in also and then I was able to customize my bands as well!

Just switched from ASMo to POP, hoping to get to be a part of the MB phenomenon! I called at 10:40 PM tonight, had my reservation all switched over by 11 PM. I did online check in (my reservation showed the updated changes on MDE immediately) and was able to use FP+ instantly; by midnight, I was able to customize my MBs!
My dates are 15-26th.

I didn't, but I also haven't been getting them or they've come a few days after I changed something/made a payment.

No confirmation email, but they do show up in our MDE.

We got our bands today they are totally wicked!!!

I am so excited now for our trip in a few weeks. The bands are far cooler than I even imagined!!
I love the box as well as our names being on the inside of the bands.
We can't wait to use them!

Thanks guys! Where do they show up on MDE? I still have the option to personalize mine on the side... good thing as my DH has changed his mind 3 times as to what he wants engraved

Yay!!!! So happy you guys are as excited as me....my dh thinks I'm crazy he didn't even care what color his band is

Awesome! Our bands are on the way after re-modifying our check-in!

Staying at POP, 9/13-9/20

This worked for us as well. Modified online check-in, didn't change any options, just went through the process again, and then MagicBands were instantly available to customize!

It tells me mine are already being customized and will ship soon. nothing to click on. I'm ok with each of us having red. I think I would have ordered orange though, had I not been so excited I forgot to change it.

Mine just had a > at the far side and that took me to a place I could update them. Matching will be fun too. My DH just changed his mind again! I lied to him and said nope, only get to mess with it 3 times and then it's locked!

Not quite sure why Disney thought we needed our Magic Bands within 12 hours, but they arrived this morning and we've been wearing them all night - it's easy to forget they're on!

Nope - just an email letting me know they were about to be delivered. I honestly don't really know/care what the difference between having them and "really getting to use them" is - I like the chance to play with new technology, but I've accessed plenty of hotel rooms and theme parks without RFID chips on my wrist so I think I'll survive. That being said, I work in IT so getting the chance to play with new technology is pretty rad.

I wrote a very quick summary on the blog we made to document our magical adventure - http://09132013.blogspot.com/ - but, in short, they are QUICK. We got ours in approximately 36 hours and that seems to be the norm based on posts I've read on here. No idea WHY - we don't leave for 3 weeks!
