Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

I have to agree with those who said disney needs to have better communication about this. If it is a glitch why would people be actually receiving magic bands? It's be one thing if you could only do things on the website but to be shipped something like that wouldn't be a glitch.

Well, just about everything Disney does that is IT related is glitchy. I know their website goes down regularly for "enhancements" , but they never really seem to work at fixing it, they seem to prefer daily teeny repairs.
Now we are back to the real issue--why doesn't Disney get someone to actually fix their stinking IT problems?

I'm not against FP+ and magicbands...I just have a hard time understanding Disney IT's grand vision.

So excited I just booked my FP for our sept 7-12 trip and customized our magic bands now to wait and see it inaction I would like to do BOG lunch but didn't see that.

Whoa! Really? What resort are you staying at?? I'm another freak dying to try the magic band and FP+. We are there 9/13-9/20 at POP. This gives me a tiny glimmer of hope.

We check in on the 25th of September and was hoping to try all this out. I'm going to be kinda annoyed if we can't. The rest of our party is staying at POP and if we can't do it, we can't do some things together as we he hoped to.

I get that. My point is I don't think disney letting you go through the customizing process, them packing it up, giving you a tracking number, and actually sending them out is a glitch. They need to confirm some September guest will be testing or that it's rolling out. All the other stuff is yes, probably something that should be sorted. If the September magic bands being sent out is a glitch then they need to do some firing and restructuring.

Reliable source says POFQ will not test in September, but Pop is.

Does anyone else see a FP+ option when they go on the BOG main page? It came up as a FP+ lunch option but the system must have figured out I haven't been offered FP+ yet and the option went away after 5-10 seconds

We are staying Sept.12-15 at Pop then switching to WL CL until the 21st. I was able to schedule FP+ last night. Dd only has a 5 day ticket so far (DH and I have APs) so it won't let me schedule her for the whole trip. Should I schedule us for the rest and then hope we can add her on? We will be adding days to her UT ticket when we get there. We also don't have any magic band option yet.

I had to use the number sequence on our magical express tags. Let me book a fp+ and we haven't officially been offered the test.

I'm 100% in agreement. I'm having a hard time staying positive being on the outside looking in knowing I'm missing out on something.

To your point, there can't be unlimited FP's available to each ride each day, so if half of the FP's are given out with FP+, then that leaves less for the rest of us. To be fair, it wouldn't matter what % is given out for FP+, it simply reduces the amount of FP's available to the rest.

I have a bigger problem if FP+ continue to be able to double dip for additional regular FP's or secure fast passes for attactions/events (like fireworks and parades) that non FP+ holders are simply not included in.

I still don't understand how my resort choice we made months ago somehow limits my Disney experience?

As you and gamecock have brought up, it IS discouraging to see post after post of all these FP= users and I mentioned that in a post yesterday. I was told, however, that there appear to be many more FP times available. i can only hope that Disney is alloting only a portion of FP times to be used by the FP+ testing. If all of them are indeed gone by the time we arrive on September 7th, it will NOT be magical and I WILL be p****d.

We're staying with a group of 8 9/6-9-16. First night at Pop and the rest at BC. I'm able to pick FP+ times for my family of 4, but the other group so far hasn't been able to. Hopefully it'll change.

One question, I was able to customize my magic bands and verify my shipping address, but I never really ordered them. Am I missing a step?

Called and IT person told me you, if you are selected you have to receive an email or letter in the mail and this is about 10 out, if your resort is selected. We are staying at POR Sept 1 -7.

Ah figures. First we had to cancel our Nov/Dec dates bc of the FD promo not being offered, then they sent us a pin code but it was sent to the wrong address so we couldn't use it, now our resort isn't part of it. Disney hates us, lol. Oh well...we will still have fun!

Good thing is, you'll be there during low crowd times and might not even need to use fastpasses often...it'll be worth the short wait lines to be with friends!

Mine was just the opposite. Disney Tech couldn't do anything, but member services had it fixed in about 5 minutes. But mine was because of the link.

Well, I struck out on both ends. Member services didn't do anything for me either. Hopefully, it isn't affecting my ability to use FP+. Either way, we've done many trips without it before, I'm sure we'll "survive" without it this time too!

Current intel is that POR is testing in Sept but not POFQ.

I have a question now about groups that are staying at different locations. Since part of our group is at POP and we are at POFQ, can they make a BOG lunch reservation for example and all us go or will ever person have to show a magic band? I am assuming the ride FPs won't work but I really hate how now we can't tour together. I mean we can but that would mean asking them to give up their MBs and FP+ which I know they are excited about.

Not to be a pessimist (but I will be for the sake of argument). Is it just me, or does it seem like those of us who are apparently not in the FP+ September test group may be completely out of luck in terms of fast pass availability? and may be forced into standby for everything? We are staying at WL 9/20 - 9/27. It appears about half of resorts are involved. The previous test only involved a small percentage of resort guests, which made the impact on non test guest minamal at worst. but this one looks to be involving a significant number of guests, thus making the impact on those not involved a lot greater. I don't meen to be negative, just thought i'd bring this fact up, who knows, it could be everyone is involved and my points will be meaningless.

I agree. We are at POFQ. Tried to switch to POR and I can't since I did online check in a few days ago. I feel like there's a party 75% of the people got invited to and we got left out. I might as well of stayed stayed offsite and saved the money. I'm going to disney at least I can eat and soak up atmosphere even if I can't ride anything. We don't do standbys longer than 20 minutes. Ok off my pity box..,,, for now.

We are staying at CSR 9/8-14 and are not able to do FastPass+ or Magic Bands. Guess we will have to wait until next year.
