dh and I are considering purchasing a 2008 xe. I've read many reviews but nobody I personally know owns one.

Love our 2004. Very roomy and comfortable. It has over 120k miles on it and we've never had a need for any major repair. I don't know if that would be an issue, considering Saturn is no more.

I have a 2006 with 128,000 miles. It is going strong. So far the only issue (that just started) is that the CD player skips. I am sad I won't be able to get another Vue.

We have a 2003 and it's ok. It's comfortable and roomier then it looks but I think the steering is very loose, it lags on acceleration and doesn't handle curves too well. These issues may have been resolved on later models. It's got about 80,000 miles and I can't recall any major repairs - new battery, tires, that sort of thing but we've had it for over 9 years now.

Well we bought the 08. It is nice with low enough miles. But I traded in my mustang convertible. I'll replace the mustang in the summer. It had alot of miles and needed a new top and some front end work.

I have a 2003 and I love her. I've had some smaller repairs ($600-$800) but who hasn't? I'm heartbroken I can't get another.

You can still get repairs done at Chevy dealerships.

Some acceleration hesitation is due to the increased fuel efficiency. Vehicles made for higher fuel efficiency typically don't have the "pick up" of other cars. There was an optional "upgrade" being offered where they would reprogram your vehicle to have slightly better acceleration but the downside is that you're giving up the fuel economy and most people like that part about the Vue so very few opted for the change when it was offered.

Huh, I don't remember that at all.

However, we have a 4 cyl. stick shift so not sure if our model was included in that offer.

Oldest dd is getting married in the fall and talking children. I wanted something that would be car seat friendly and safe. This is. It is comfortable and roomy. It feels a bit big after the small car but is quiet and smooth which verts aren't.

DW has a 2008 Hybrid Vue. We both like the car very much. Our family owned several Saturns and we all liked them very much.:)

enjoy your vue! i have an '07. i love my vue...it's lasted longer than my 1st vue! i had the '03 and i lost my transmission at 49k miles. it was fixed, but then other things happened.

after a serious talk with the dealership, i got a really good deal on my '07. it's a great little car. i now travel 45 min each way for work and i have a lot of fun driving it. i love it more than my hubby's POS '10 camry.

oh and my mom has a '94 saturn that's still kicking! you can't miss her...it's that bright teal color they had when they were first out.

I don't remember specifics but I am pretty certain DH would choose better acceleration over fuel economy.

OP, enjoy your new car!!!

My sons shared a saturn sl. Little gold car for several college years. They were very hard on that car. It had over 200000 miles on it. My one son wants to pick up another one now. Cheap good gas mileage low maintenance. My new car doesn't have any cargo gadgets like the net or cover. Are they worth buying? I am going to get the floor mat.

08 Vue owner here, bought it with 5 miles on it.

It did not need tires or brakes until the 90K mark. We are at 128K now with no major issues yet. I am hearing a small murmur coming from the front axle area to get checked, but 4+ years into a vehicle and not 1 dime spent other than oil changes and filters is good enough for me.

My 2002 Saturn was given away at 277K miles in the summer of 2011, it is still going today.

We're buying mazdas going forward.
