Love our 2004. Very roomy and comfortable. It has over 120k miles on it and we've never had a need for any major repair. I don't know if that would be an issue, considering Saturn is no more.
We have a 2003 and it's ok. It's comfortable and roomier then it looks but I think the steering is very loose, it lags on acceleration and doesn't handle curves too well. These issues may have been resolved on later models. It's got about 80,000 miles and I can't recall any major repairs - new battery, tires, that sort of thing but we've had it for over 9 years now.
Some acceleration hesitation is due to the increased fuel efficiency. Vehicles made for higher fuel efficiency typically don't have the "pick up" of other cars. There was an optional "upgrade" being offered where they would reprogram your vehicle to have slightly better acceleration but the downside is that you're giving up the fuel economy and most people like that part about the Vue so very few opted for the change when it was offered.
Huh, I don't remember that at all.
However, we have a 4 cyl. stick shift so not sure if our model was included in that offer.

I have a 2003 and I love her. I've had some smaller repairs ($600-$800) but who hasn't? I'm heartbroken I can't get another.

I don't remember specifics but I am pretty certain DH would choose better acceleration over fuel economy.
