I called our agent yesterday to see if he received the contracts over the weekend. He said yes and it was now in Disney's hands.

Let's see who makes it passed today...the suspense is killing me. (not so much for me because I know this is too soon.) There are quite of few who should hear this week.

How exciting...my first DIS post! I've been lurking for eons (sorry) but thought it was time to share our rofr wait with you sympathetic folks. We had one contract taken by Disney a few weeks ago (but we had low-balled that one as it was stripped and we weren't that excited about it). Now, we have a 230 pt. OKW with 230 banked pts from '03 and all '04 pts. coming in Oct. We are at $75/pt...yes, a bit high but it is loaded and we really want it! Can't wait to hear...it just went in a few days ago so probably next week is the earliest.

Great news!!! I am so happy for you!!!

I, too, was thinking the people at Disney could be deciding our fate right now!!! The Timeshare Store said they normally hear on Thursday, but Jason (our agent) is away this week. I think I may give them a call on Thursday just to see if they heard anything. Do anyone you know how Disney notifies the agents...phone, mail, overnight?

The waiting is really killing me...and all of you, I'm sure. I'm just glad we have together to go through it with!!!

This is our first try. And I am doing this completely site unseen as I have never been to Disney World. My wife went every year as a teenager. I guess the thought of throwing away $1700 on our January WL reservation pushed me over the edge. It's really not in my nature to do something this spontaneous.

Jaki has been very helpful and thinks we'll be ok at $73. Keeping fingers crossed!!!

Deanna, when we passed ROFR last month, our broker told us that they receive e-mail notification from Disney.

It looks like we were submitted to Disney for ROFR on 9/7...which makes it only one week today. We definitely won't hear until next Tuesday at the earliest. Probably end of next week based on my past ROFR process. Let's hope they don't drag us out on this one.

sjcampbl...I just wish we had made the move you're making after our first wdw stay. I don't like to think about the money we've spent on accomodations to date. Thing is, we kept thinking...we aren't going to be going to Disney every year or even every other year so we don't need dvc...but sure enough, not long after each trip we'd be planning the next one.
On our Feb 04 trip we toured and SSR unit (when they were actually in the BWV...kind of a twilight zone moment walking down the hall of the BWV and all of a sudden we're standing in an SSR unit...but that's another story). Anyway...after that, and touring a Marriott property, and a few months of analysis paralysis, we called Jason at the TSS and took the plunge.
All that to say...I don't think you'll regret your decision for one minute.

We got our approval today. OKW April UY 69 points from 03, 150 or 04 and 150 4/05 $72 a pt and we're paying 04 mf and closing went to ROFR 8/31
