Any Rock Hill, SC DISers out there?

We have the itch to move from cold Chicago again and are considering the Rock Hill, SC area based on some good things I've read about the area. Anyone live there? How are property taxes -- say for a 4bedroom/2bath house? How is the job market -- I am a legal secretary/paralegal and DH is an electronics technician? I've read some not so good things about the schools -- are there certain schools/districts that I should consider?

On a recent trip to Carowinds, we stayed it Rock Hill. What we saw of it was nice. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Looked like there was lots of new construction around. Good Luck.

I live in Fort Mill which is a few miles north of Rock Hill along I77. The schools in Fort Mill are very good. I am not sure about the property taxes because DH handles all of that. It is probably less that what you would pay in Chicago though.

In FM there is a lot of people moving here because of the schools and the close proximity to Charlotte. A 2200 sq ft house would run about $150,000- $250,000 or higher here. Houses are a little cheaper in Rock Hill.
