Any Reviews on Room 8532 on the Fantasy or Dream

I will be in this room on the Fantasy next year. I know it's a 5B and I've been in room this size a few times. I haven't been able to find many reviews or posts about this specific room. Is there anything uniquely different about it? Is there a pull down bed? Is there anything blocking the view on the verandah?

TIA

Your cabin sleeps 3. No pull down bunk or Murphy bed. Is not considered a restricted view. The slight “pillar” that is a structural component of the ship may or may not be on your verandah. Many cabins do have this and there is a recent thread - it involves a photo of the side of the ship with the room numbers on it and it’s a lot of work for something that really isn’t a big deal.

When you select a cabin and click on the box that says “More Details” this is what comes up for cabin 8532.

Here are a couple photos of the “beam” that seems to annoy some folks. Didn’t bother me at all. googled photos.

Thanks, I've had that on our last 4 cruises. Just trying to avoid it for once!

I found the post that has the outer photos of the ships with the rooms labeled. I did not see in those photos a picture of the forward state rooms. Anyone know where that might exist?

For the record I did switch my reservation to 8538 because it has a pull down bunk which is what we wanted.

Glad you found a cabin that works better for you. That pillar is not impossible to avoid, but a lot of cabins have them. I do think DCL has some very lovely and well designed cabins. The split baths are brilliant! The child lock for the balcony. And the privacy curtain.

Thanks, we had the exact same room number on the Wish and Treasure…but they were accessible rooms which obviously didn’t give us a lot left options to pick from.

Our next cruise (10 day Southern) on the Fantasy will not include my disabled family member. So we have a lot more options on rooms. This will be our 4th cruise on the Fantasy. It will be nice to back in a cabin with split baths but obviously missing a family member who is staying behind.

Did you like the Wish/Treasure? I have only been on the “Classics”.

Do the accessible rooms have a balcony? I don’t end up spending a ton of time on mine, but I like how it makes the cabin feel more “open” and the glass doors let in a lot of natural light.

We had a guaranteed room that got upgraded to an accessible verandah room on the Wish, so yes!

I like all the ships. It’s not necessarily a determining factor when we look for our next cruise. I am probably more of a fan of the size of the Dream and Wish class ships.

The accessible rooms we have been in are very similar to the other verandah rooms other than there isn’t split bathrooms.

This site has a link to a video of that room. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/ships/Disney-Fantasy
Thanks, I figured out earlier today that 8538 while having a pull down bunk also has the exterior trim on one side of the patio. The only other options in that area that have a pull down bed were 8542 (directly across from the elevator entrance) or 8524. I looked at the deck plans and some photos and determined 8524 does not have the exterior trim piece. So we made one last switch and are good to go.

Neither of these were deal breakers at all but I knew if I looked around a little I could maybe get what I preferred.

Thanks to everyone for the advice.
