this was the only restuarant we could get with the Fantasmic package. We really wanted Mama Melrose but there was nothing at all availabel for the time we will be there. Hollywood & Vine was the only one available and was not on my list of ones I had chosen so now I am wondering if I made a bad choice?? Thanks

Ate there once and it was horrible, terrible food, terrible service....no way would I go again

That is exactly what I have been hearing from several people I have spoken too. My kids really want to see the Fantasmic show so I figured this would be the way to go and now I am definetely having second thoughts!!

Unfortunately, I agree with Mickey/Nicki. You could not pay us to go back to H&V after two horrible experiences. That being said, you will find a lot of people on here love it. So unless you want to line up really early for Fantasmic, I suggest you keep it. You never know, your family might like it.

When are you going to be in Disney? You might see if there is someone who has a ressie that wants to cancel it.

We were there in December. First seating of the night and everything was WONDERFUL!!!!! The foods were beautifully displayed and tasted wonderful. The desserets looked great but I have numerous allergies anddidn't try any. The chef came out and talked to me about the food. Our service was very good. I would not hessitate going back. Loved the atmosphere also.

We like H&V. We've been a few different times, but always for the Playhouse Disney lunch. A buffet is a buffet- but I thought the food was fresh and tasty. My favorites were the different salads, salmon and spoon bread. IMO, the desserts were good too.

Now, I don't know if it made a difference that we only experienced lunch there. Maybe dinner is a different story? Two negatives are that the waitstaff, although pleasant, seemed a bit harried. Even so, we always got our drinks in a timely manner. Also, the dining room is set up to look like an old-time cafeteria - not like a cushy restaurant and it can be a little loud. If you go in knowing this, you may enjoy it more.:thumbsup2

Hey, you two are faster learners than we are. We gave it three tries before finally giving up on it. NASTY!!!

We've only done lunch but enjoyed it. We are going back next trip aswell. Its one restaurant my kids requested. That is mainly because of the characters that do lunch and breakfast. But we had no problems with the food. It was fine. Not really special but nothing wrong with it.

I'm sorry to say it-we've eaten there more than once (my DS is a picky eater so I thought the buffet would be a better choice for him ), but we are DONE. The food is awful:scared:

We've done dinner there and enjoyed it. We would choose it over Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic package. The buffet was fresh, hot foods hot, cold foods cold. And our server was prompt with refills on beverages and plate clearing. The food wasn't fancy but it was certainly an adequate dinner. And saved waiting too long for Fantasmic during President's week.

We've also eaten at Mama Melrose - given a choice between the two, our family would pick H&V. We were not impressed with MM - I've had much better Italian food at the Olive Garden for much less money.

The rule by my DH is 2 times is the max (and after our recent visit to WCC, I don't think that one is going to get the rule--one time was enough for him).

When there are debates and polls on the dis about the most least liked and worst time/food -Hollywood and Vine is near if not at the top of the list. We tried it back when it was a character buffet with Minnie as the headliner back in 2000. It was the worst meal we ever had--although character interaction was good. It has since changed to a smaller kids themed Character buffet and perhaps the food got better--although the negative posts have still continued. That being said I tell anyone try it for yourself and see what you think.
