Any restaurants you can't get excited about?

Let me start by saying - I love Disney!!! That being said, there are some restaurants (TS) that I just have no desire to try. For example, Sci-Fi, 50s Prime Time Cafe, and Liberty Tree Tavern. I've seen them get good reviews, but just seems like food I can get at home in an atmosphere that doesn't appeal to me.

But that's me. What about you? What restaurants are you NOT dying to try?

I am NOT excited for quite a few restaurants we are dining at on our next trip. Like Hollywood & Vine and 50's Prime Time.
Come to think of it, there is nothing that gets me excited in DHS.
But we made the decision to base all of our dining around our young children and eat wherever we plan on being that day, instead of running around everywhere.

we've tried a lot of the TS restaurants but we can't get excited to try:

artist point
biergarten
brown derby
marrakesh
wolfgang puck
tokyo dining
kouzzina
hoop de doo

We tried 50's prime time (when we couldn't get Mama Melrose for dinner) last yer and we actually loved it. True, it's food you can get at home, but we did love the atmosphere. I really can't get myself excited for Nine Dragons. DH loves Chinese, so its a big of a "disagreement" for us every time we go!!! We do looooove Biergarten though. It's a must every time! We've done Marrakesh, and although we LOVE Moroccan food, the atmosphere really lacked. It just seemed like a giant community hall. We like getting our Moroccan fix at Tangierine Cafe now!

H&V (been here and it was aweful)

LTT ( I just cant get excited about a stouffers type Thanksgiving meal)

WCC ( I can get bbq here in SC, altho if Ds and DH get there way we will go 1 day)

Beirgarten ( been here twice and it was ok but just not interested but DH is)

Teppan Edo ( only b/c we have so many hibachi places here plus I rather have hibachi rice then those noodles)

The Wave ( I just cant find anthing on dinner menu I wan, may try breakfast)

Shutters at CBR

Kouzinna ( have a great Greek place close to home and I just cant get excited about K menu)

HDDR ( dont need KFC with a show, lol)

CP ( had dinner here it was aweful, great character interaction tho)

Coral Reef ( been here many times and just tired of it, plus service is sooo slow)

Via Napoli ( didnt enjoy the pizza, have a amazing Italian pizzeria here so we are spoiled)

I think thats it.. I do have a bucket list I cant wait to try as well..

We have picked out all our restaurants that we are going to try this year, and there are only 2 that I am not interested in at all!

Whispering Canyon - the menu just looks boring and I don't really like anything on it.

Biergarten - I was able to actually go in the restaurant last year and take a look around, and I was not into it whatsoever! The food did not appeal to me at all, and the entertainment doesn't look any good either. I'm sorry.

Those are just my opinions, but I might be singing a different tune after I try them! but I doubt it ;)

We are NOT fancy people...anything that is a tiny fancy serving on a plate-I will pass on

-Coral Reef-have heard the only good thing about it is the view, the food is only so so

-50's prime time....I can make most of that stuff at home and don't generally feel like 'playing along' as the waitress tells me to 'keep my elbows off the table!'

-sci fi-just seems lame to me

-brown derby-DH ate there and wasn't impressed, I have no desire to eat there

-In general I avoid eating in Hollywood Studios, as there doesn't seem to be much variety and what is there isn't the freshest/best IMO

-Hoop De Doo-have done it many times as a child didn't care for the food or the show...not my thing

I know the question is what do you avoid, but in telling that, I want to tell what we DO love:
-Buffets (crystal palace and chef mickeys)
-I am a sucker for a mickey shaped waffle
-Food Court: All Star Movies-the food court was amazing-we didn't have one bad thing there

ESPN...thoughout it would be a fun change. But I can't get excited to go back there because it is not Disney related at all.

I agree that just the thought of having to eat in HS completely is a turn off! Better off taking the boat over to a resort and dining!

Agreed. DHS is lacking for me. But I'm trying really hard to get excited for Brown Derby since my fella wants to eat there on our next trip!

Personally, I have absolutely no enthusiasm for Marrakesh, the Wave, or Chef Mickeys. My friend coerced me into going to Chef Mickeys awhile back, and I think it's safe to say that's a never again in my book.

I know it is practically heresy, but I have no interest in O'hana, I just don't see the appeal. I've tried a few that I probably won't return to but at least I was interested enough to go once.

Funny this should come up!

My next trip unintentionally became an all-buffet trip, so I was looking for an alternative to break it up a bit. Kouzzina came to mind, because I haven't been there yet. But I'm not seeing anything on the menu that really enthuses me, particularly with the reports I'm reading about the big noisy dining room and the less-than-steller service.

I have no desire to eat at many restaurants. The (incomplete) list includes:

Marrakesh
V & A's (yeah, that's right)
Nine Dragaons
Brown Derby
Rose & Crown
Flying Fish
Kouzzina
Yak & Yeti

Plus, I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to eat at any of the TS restaurants at the mods.

Marrakesh is another for me. Two years ago, we actually went in, sat down, looked at the menu, and left. Absolutely nothing looked good to us (for such big price tag!). The Tangierine Cafe, on the other hand, is one of my favorites!

For us its Marakesh, Sanaa, and Nine Dragons. We decided before our trip last Dec that we were going to try every restaurant in WDW and those are the only 3 we are haivng a hard time with including in our ADR list. I think I might throw one in on the next trip because I am scared one trip will be all the ones we don't want to try. The first 2 is because I am just into that type of food the other is we have so many good chinese places here we have no desire to go to WDW and get bad chinese.

Hmmm I am slightly surprised at so many people not liking Marrakesh, I LOVE it!!!

But I absolutely hate:

Coral Reef (I dont eat Seafood)
Garden Grill
Crystal Palace
1900 Park Fare

You got farther than I did there! I've never even crossed the threshold of Marrakesh. I'm glad to hear Tangierine Cafe is one of your favorites - that's actually a "never again" for us, we had a pretty miserable experience there!

It does go to show (as we do often see on the boards) that everyone has different tastes/preferences/experiences! I saw Kouzzina come up a few times, and it's one of my favorites (particularly their breakfast - seriously fantastic!:thumbsup2).
