Any resort that compares to Wyndham Bonnet Creek?

I could really use some advice. I'm getting overwhelmed. There are 7 of us that need a 3 bedroom place to stay for a week toward the end of April. There are 4 adults, 2 teens, and an 8 year old. Things that we'd really like

Nice resort pool(s) with pool bar and activities. Adults would like to stay close and be able to grab drinks a few nights and have some "vacation" time too.
A place to grab lunch on site for days when we skip the parks and wanna stay at the resort.
Restaurants for dinner either on premise or VERY close. Possibly walking distance.
Short drive to parks.

For breakfast we'll grab something quick either in the room (cereal, breakfast bars, or grab breakfast on the way to the parks).

I don't need a full kitchen as I don't plan on cooking big meals
We'll rent a car so shuttles are not important.

I'm looking at availability at Bonnet Creek but don't know if there are other places I should be looking. Any thoughts on Windsor Palms or Windsor Hills? Reunion? Vista Cay? Emerald Island? Orange Lake? LBV Resort and Spa?

I've done so much research I'm starting to confuse myself

As a place to stay, we like Vistana Villages...has its own restaurant.
Cypress Palms is the same company as Bonnet Creek and has nice
facilities; and several restaurants are close.....a little further away but not
a long trip by any means

At Reunion right now and love this place. It is a bit off the beaten path, but worth it (IMO). Lots to do and lots of onsite restaurant options. Can also get a drink onsite at a variety of places.

Going for a quick grocery run is super easy as there is a Publex very close to resort and it is not overrun with the usual hoard of tourists.

Lots of options for renting as it is a mixed use resort of privately owned homes and villas as well as a timeshare option.

I'm in a 3BR 3Bath Villa on Wyndham points. This is our definite first choice for Orlando stays.

Windsor Hills and Emerald Island are very close to the parks but IMO have more of a residential feel than a resort/ hotel feel. The accommodations are spacious and lovely though.

Regal Palms is further away but does have a big resort style pool with slide and lazy river, pool bar, etc. Although my family had a bad experience at Star Island because we stayed during a major renovation, it does have a very nice resort style pool, pool bar/ karaoke, resort activities, etc. TGI Fridays is located at the entrance to the resort.

Vistana is very nice as well! Friends have stayed at Reunion and loved it, said it was very upscale compared to other properties in Orlando. If I am not mistaking, Vista Cay is up closer to Universal...

Bonnet Creek is the closest to Disney so if that is a priority...

The need for three bedrooms narrows the list a bit but I'd suggest that you might consider Marriott's Grande Vista (I'd suggest my favorite Marriott - Cypress Harbour but that's a 2 BR only resort), Hilton Grande Vacation Club Sea World, Sheraton Vistana Villages (be aware that the closer-to-Disney Sheraton Vistana Resort is a separate property and I don't think that that one has 3BR villas, I could be incorrect on that point, though), or the Orange Lake Resort (Holiday Inn). That last one gets a wide range of opinions largely, I think, because of the relative size of the resort - I think it's the largest in the Orlando/Kissimmee area - and the age of some sections, but I think that the newest section, River Island, has both 3BR and 4BR villas.

There are others that might be interesting, such as Marriott's Imperial Palm Villas which is an all 3BR set of buildings near two other Marriott timeshare resorts and the huge Marriott World Center hotel complex. You basically get the run of the facilities at all three timeshare resorts and at the hotel. It's a hike (or shuttle bus ride) from the hotel's large pool complex, though.

WOW! You all are great. One thing I want too, is not having to take a hike or shuttle to get to a pool. On days we decide to skip the parks and take a break, we really don't wanna have to walk a mile to get to and from our room and pool. Honestly, we're not lazy I swear. I just want it to be simple to go to the pool and not worry about packing everything you need for the entire day. I can count on needing something from the room by the time I sit down at the pool (multiple times) and don't want to spend my day making long trips back and forth.

I've noticed some resorts are huge but have a pool or two in one central location. It sounds like Wyndham BC and Reunion have pools spread out throughout the resort so you're never to far from a pool, snacks, drinks, etc.

so does the Marriott Grande Vista - now there bigger pools (more stuff) are not to far to walk to either.

We stated at Windsor Palms in a 3BR townhouse and each BR even had its own bathroom! We were at 8106 Princess Palms and it was a short walk to the pool. We also had a private little pool right outside our back door. There were a lot of restaurants around there as well, but none within walking distance. Very close to WDW parks, no more than 15 minutes, I would say.

we have stayed at most of those recommended and will always go with wyndham bonnett creek first. The location in the center of Disney property is great, shuttles are not bad and the kids prefer the pools here over any others. There is a pool complex for each building and you can walk to any of the 5 or 6 pools quickly for variety. 3 outdoor restaurants make it easy and 2 or 3 more new restaurants in the hotel building.
