Any Refurbishment for the Wonder?

We were on the Wonder last Thanksgiving and our bed and couch were very uncomfortable. I doubt it, but I really hope they replace those items before saying hello to Texas again.

Two things that I noticed this weekend on the Wonder that were welcomed changes (since we were on it in 2012) were the stateroom doors and Shutters. They changed Shutters to use the Book system used on all the other ships. That is so much easier than having all the pictures displayed on the walls.

They also changed out all the door locks to the touchpad. This is so much easier than having to remove your KTTW card from the lanyard every time you go to your room.

I guess these are pretty minor since I don't think I have seen them mentioned much but I appreciated those two things :thumbsup2

Are there any other changes on Wonder? Last time we were there was two years ago.

I didn't notice many other things but my last cruise was a short 2-night cruise so it was over before it started ;)

I'll be back on board next week (for 7 nights) so I'll have a better opportunity to check out all the areas of the ship. :thumbsup2

The mattresses are different on the Wonder than they were on Dream? (Dream was very comfortable...)

Do we need to put in KTTW card in the light switch slot to turn on lights? Or this is just a Fantasy and Dream feature?

Thanks!

I'm not sure what was new and what wasn't because we went on the Dream twice in 2013 and did 9 nights on the Wonder this year. I found the beds very comfortable. The 1 thing I like better about them on the Wonder was they are bigger. We had no problem fitting our suitcases underneath the bed. Also, we did have a refrigerator not an ice box as so many reported in the past. I'm not sure why it shows that super old bedding on DCL's website but it does not look like that. It looked almost identical to the Dream.

Yes, they are different on the Wonder. I'm assuming because the beds on the Wonder can still be split into twins and the new beds/mattresses cannnot.

We called the beds on the Dream the quicksand beds because you just sank down into it (so nice). But the Wonder's are not like that (I slept fine, but it wasn't as nice as the Dream/Fantasy).

Bummer. After sailing Dream twice we went on a hunt to find a similar mattress for our home. We came close, but not perfect. Was looking forward to DCL mattresses on Wonder. Oh well.

Cooling boxes or real fridges now? We had the fridge on the Magic last cruise, but our connecting room only had a cooling box....fridge was awesome!

Well Shutters now uses the "Library Book" method of storing your pictures rather than having to hunt on the Walls of Pictures. It's a good improvement.
