Has anybody been to Spoodles recently? How is the food and service now? Last year seemed to give Spoodles a horrible wrap, and I want to see if anything has changed within the past few months. :confused3

My family (mom, dad, sister, me and brother) went to Spoodles on fathers day in June of 2007! we had never been before and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! The Boardwalk is also a neat place to take a walk around or even ride a bike. We have been to Disney alot but had never been over to the Boardwalk so it was a different and fun little trip. I would say, go for it! I mean the food is yummy and we had very good service! Best of luck in choosing!

My sister and I went in September and the food and service were fantastic. I really enjoyed my snapper and of course my Blu Glowtini.

I heartily recommend it.

We ate there in April '07 and again in Aug '07. We had great food and service both times. Will be eating there again this April.

We went in Nov. and really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service.

Just went last week. Liked it alot. The appetizers and desserts were OUTSTANDING.

We had the Mediterranean Dips and the 4 Cheese Flatbread for apps. Home runs. YUM!

I had the White Bean Moussaka for my entree, while DH had the Lemon Garlic Shrimp Linguine. The moussaka was tasty, but kind of odd, an DH pretty much hated the linguine. Strangely, the server REALLY recommended the dish, which I guess was kind of confusing because it really didn't have much flavor at all. :confused3 She went on and on about how many shrimp were in the dish and how big they were, so I guess we were looking for different things in the dish. Don't know.

Anyway, the desserts were to die for. DH had the baklava, which of course, was tasty, while I had the mascarpone cheesecake. I LOVE cheesecake, and let me tell you, this was one of the tastiest versions I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Sweet and slightly tangy, but just lighter than air. Oh, and the crust was just delicious too.

So, yeah, I had read reports about the place slipping, too. Overall, we enjoyed our meal there, so :confused3 . I wonder if sometimes a place gets so popular that expectations get too high, and then there is backlash. Maybe that explains the Le Cellier backlash lately, too. We ate there last week and loved it ....
