Any Recent Improvement With MS Wait Times??

I have to be to work at 7am on the day our 7-month window opens (March 19). I will need to cancel 2 reservations, buy OTU points to make another reservation and get on a waitlist for BWV, all in one call:faint:. I am going to try and get the first few hours off from work since there is no way I can rely on being able to complete the call while at work. I want to be on the phone at 9AM sharp;).

How have the wait times at 9am been recently? I'd read about 45-60 minute hold times and I am wondering if that has eased up at all. I need to know how much time off I need to request.

During the last 2 weeks I have called 3 times exactly at 9:00 to modify a reservation. Once I got a CM without even going on hold, once I waited only a couple minutes (I don't think I was even given an estimated wait time) and the third time the wait was estimated at 12 minutes and I think it ended up being slightly less than that. Definitely a major improvement over the prior couple of months
 
September and the month of January are typically the very busiest times of the year for MS. After the holidays families are together and make vacation plans, so from after Christmas through January (and often into Feb) it can be a zoo at MS.
 

I called last week to book the Member Wishes Cruise and I was on hold for 45 min. It was the longest wait I've ever had.
 
Funny I was just going to rant about this exact thing. I have randomly called when I have time the last few weeks and I have yet to have an estimated wait less than 30 mins. On hold now, I prefer to do things online but you can't modify an existing reservation. I'm trying to add days for a 10 day reservation at 7 month mark and you can't do that online. Tried the online chat and the CM told me to either call in or cancel and rebook........gee thanks for the help buddy.

I don't have time to just sit and wait on hold 30 plus min, I don't have a problem occasionally but this has been the last few weeks. I understand busy time, staffing models should account for this and you staff up for it. I have bad luck or they are not staffing correctly.
 
I called over the weekend. The message said I would have a 9 minute wait. They got me at about 8 minutes.
 
I think it is more than just MS. I tried calling WDW-TOUR today, twice, and both time said the wait was going to be over 30 minutes. So I hung up.
 
Lately it doesn't matter when I call, it seems to be a consistent wait of 25 to 30 minutes. :/ Why do you think this is? I used to call and get someone right away.
 
I've commented on several of these threads that I have routinely waited 20-40 minutes for someone to answer. I was stunned, STUNNED, to have someone answer immediatley when I called last week. I was hoping the long waits were behind us, guess not. :sad2:
 
I had mentioned earlier that I have had great luck during the last couple of weeks calling right at 9:00, though I do realize this can be very difficult since many of us are working (so I try to keep the conversation as brief as possible). And I did call around 6:30 one night and like people have mentioned, the wait can be a half hour or more. So I was curious if the folks who are encountering long waits are calling later in the day or are you calling right when Member Services first opens at 9:00?
 
I called a couple weeks ago and only waited a few minutes, I was very pleasantly surprised!

Not right at open but at various time during the day when I have time. The last few months is where I have really noticed crazy wait times on a regular basis. I got through yesterday with estimated wait time of 15 mins which was actually 20 mins, considering my recent experiences I considered this a win.
