Any recent FP+ experience from offsite folks?

We are arriving on Thursday and was really hoping pre-booking of FP+ would be rolled out to offsiters by now, but it looks like that is not going to happen. Any offsiters with experience from the last couple weeks?

We plan to arrive at rope drop (as we always do), hit our favorite headliner and then search out a CM with an iPad to attempt to secure FP's for the evening.

Any other suggestions?

Sorry I have no advice for you since our offsite stay is next month.Just wanted to say hope you have a wonderful trip!

I wrote an extensive review of our FP+(or as I call it FP-) experience titled Fast Pass Minus. Search for it under Them Parks Attractions & Strategies. We were there in February & our experience was not positive at all. Good luck. We won't be back until/if something changes. I wrote a long letter to Disney & got a call back about a week later. We were on the phone for over an hour. I'm not here to trash Disney-in fact I'm the opposite-I love Disney & want to help, so I was willing to talk until I was blue in the face. Hope they listened!

You'll probably be able to do 2-3 headliners before you seek out an iPad CM. We were there last month, during Pres' week, onsite but with CM ticket media, and even when we entered the park an hour after opening, we were able to choose headliner rides.

DHS: RnR Coaster and ToT
MK: BTMRR and HM, also Buzz but that usually has short standby waits.

If you desire to do ETWB, you'll need to find an iPad CM at rope drop. ETWB has the longest Fp+ return time. On Pres' Day, one hour after regular opening, the Fp+ return was for 11:55 p.m.... we chose to do standby later in the week and had a 30 minute wait at 4:00.

Thanks - I was thinking we would only get one headliner in before we had to find a CM.

Thankfully, we did ETWB last March (at 10:30pm with only a 5 minute wait!). Our kids are teens so no need to do it again.

Our focus will be on Space, Splash, BTMRR, TSMM, RNR and TOT. My kids don't even like the new TT (once will be enough), so not even worried about Epcot. Just worried about MK and DHS.

For DHS - arrive at least 45 minutes before park opening because the gates open at least 15 minutes early. Head straight to TSMM and then RnR. The Fp+ kiosk and iPad CMs are next to ToT.

For MK: head to Space first. On your way to Splash/BTMRR, the Fp+ kiosks/CMs are on both sides of the walkway near Buzz and Stitch... if they are busy, head to Splash. The nearest kiosks to Splash are near Diamond Horseshoe.

I'm going to have to make sure to call them and tell them how much I enjoy it and think it's a great system. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that I think too many of us who like FP+ aren't making as much noise as those of you who don't. If they keep getting phone calls like yours with nothing positive to go against it, I'm sure it would look worse than it might actually be. Thank you for the inspiration.
