Any Reason to get 1-Day Tickets in Advance

We're planning on going to WWOHP in May in the middle of our WDW visit. We're planning on doing just 1 day, 1 park pass. Any advantages to buying our tickets in advance, or should we just get them at the gate? Are there typically lines to the ticket booth? We plan on going to IOA on Monday, May 16th. TIA!

Thanks. What site do you get the tickets at? The Universal Studios site, or another ticket seller?

For one day, the Universal site is fine. You can just use the print at home option and take that piece of paper directly to the gate. Then just fold it up and store it away in case you need it later in the day.

You can also take advantage of the automatic tix booths. We did this on our last visit, and it got us in quicker then waiting in the regular line.

If you can, I'd get them in advance. The automated kiosks usually have a much shorter wait than the "manned" ticket counters. We are FL residents so we have to show our IDs to pick up tickets - the lines can get really long in the mornings.

When we did ours at home, it was a voucher. We went up to the automatic kiosk and scanned our credit card (no charges, just to verify our names) and I can't remember if we had to type in a code or not. After that the tickets came right out. Took a few seconds really.

When you use the print at home option, your sheet of paper will be your actual park ticket. You will not need to exchange anything and you can go directly to the gate. You can exchange the sheet of paper ticket to the "real" tickets at Guest Services...but that's up to you.

I think you're confusing the print at home with the electronic pickup option. You would pickup the "real" park tickets at the Will Call kiosk with your credit card and confirmation # only with the electronic pickup. See above quote for the print at home process.

Thanks for the helpful info. We're planning to purchase 4-day park to park tickets and I'm concerned that the print at home option will yield flimsy tickets which won't last 4 days. However I have also seen good deals from ticket brokers like Undercover Tourist and they ship actual tickets so that may be the best option for us.
